The Asset Manager-Generation is a Master/Expert level individual contributor responsible for overseeing strategic management, maintenance, and optimization of all power generation key assets and assisting with asset management objectives. This role is strategic in nature with a focus on risk mitigation and long/near term strategic planning and is critical to ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of power plant assets over their entire lifecycle while contributing to annual performance and financial goals and driving conformance with industry best practices. The Asset Manager-Generation acts as the liaison between Asset Management, Generation Operations, Generation Services, ECPM, business planning, and financial performance functions, driving data-driven decision making and optimized planning and investments.
Key Responsibilities- Asset Lifecycle Management: Lead the development and execution of strategies and Asset Management Plans for the entire lifecycle of the plant's critical assets, from procurement to decommissioning. Utilize CMMS/EAMS data and ERP data to inform decisions and maintenance activities. Assist planners and schedulers with collecting historical labor, materials, and task data to optimize maintenance plans.
- Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks related to asset failure, obsolescence, and compliance. Ensure appropriate projects, maintenance activities, processes, programs, critical spares, and contingency plans are in place.
- Maintenance Planning: Oversee preventive maintenance strategies and schedules to ensure assets operate at optimal performance and comply with standards, including scope development for outages.
- Condition Monitoring & Performance Analysis: Use asset management systems to monitor asset health, identify issues early, and promote asset lifecycle health through condition assessments.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets, business plans, and forecasts for asset activities, aligning capital expenditures and maintenance costs with business goals.
- Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure assets comply with regulations and standards, maintaining records for audits and inspections.
- Asset Data Management: Maintain asset registers, track performance, and ensure accurate data entry into SAP. Build reports and utilize dashboards to monitor KPIs.
- Key Contracts: Lead or support negotiations and management of key contracts related to plant operations and maintenance.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and support training and change management activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement initiatives to improve asset management practices, leveraging industry best practices and innovative solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 10 years applicable experience, or 15 years of generation experience without a degree.
- Strong power plant operational & maintenance experience with emphasis on strategic thinking, risk management, and business planning.
- Excellent problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making skills.
- Strong project management and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards, safety requirements, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, enterprise asset management software, Power BI, and SAP.
- Certifications such as CMRP or PMP are preferred.
- Stakeholder management, team building, business insight, effective communication, courage, self-awareness, results-driven, accountability, trust-building, nimble learning, planning, and safety orientation.

Job Summary
This position is part of the PPM Wind Power Asset Management Group. PPM Wind Power relies on revenues from its portfolio of operating wind plants and related contracts to provide the expected return on capital investment in the business, and Asset Management ensures that the financial goals of our portfolio of wind assets and contracts are met and performance is optimized.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset oversight and P&L responsibility for a subset of PPM Wind Powers assets and contracts including operating plants, power purchase agreements and sales contracts. PPM's portfolio is expected to grow tremendously over the next 3 years, increasing our current portfolio of approximately 2,100 MW to at least 3,500 MW developed or controlled by PPM by 2010
- Asset oversight encompasses maintaining compliance with all permits, laws, and ordinances and working closely with PPM Wind Power#s activities in origination, development, engineering, construction, operations & maintenance and energy management.# all toward the end goal of protecting and enhancing value as well as ensuring compliance. Also key to success in this role is interfacing and coordination with PPM support groups including settlements, risk Management, finance, legal, credit, human resources, and ultimately Iberdrola. In addition to providing operational and performance analysis to support asset optimization, the position serves a key coordination and optimization role between energy trading and plant operations to maximize value and financial performance. The #Asset Management team fully utilizes the extensive resources and experience of PPM to achieve superior results for each asset and ensures a strong feedback loop for continued refinement of technical skills.
- As a member of the Asset Management Group, responsibilities include:
- Participate on projects from the development stage through completion of on-budget, on time operations, working with development, structuring and construction to ensure the project meets the board approved value.
- Monitor the performance of assigned assets within the wind portfolio; working with the Operation and Maintenance team, Accounting and Finance, and Risk and Trading groups. With appropriate support, analyze and report on gaps between actual and budgeted values for , wind speed, turbine and plant availability, revenue, costs and actualized value.
- Work with finance, operations and meteorology to ensure accurate reporting to PPM and Iberdrola management.
- Review and refine detailed budgets to maximize return on invested capital.
- Understand technical issues related to the turbines or balanceof- plant equipment and, where necessary, provide feedback to the appropriate group within PPM for follow-up.
- Work with regulatory agencies and establish close ties with local officials and local community.
- Work with customers and key stakeholders to ensure contracts and expectations are met.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of successful U.S. energy industry experience in any of the following areas: Asset Management, Development, Origination, Construction, Trading or Finance.

Position Duties:
- Maintain accurate asset inventories across ESMP, CMDB, and physical records to support USCG's Total Asset Visibility (TAV) objectives.
- Coordinate the intake, tagging, deployment, and disposition of assets including laptops, network equipment, and mobile devices.
- Ensure serialized inventory tracking across all domains (NIPR, SIPR, afloat) in compliance with DHS property accountability policies.

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including offtakers, utilities, maintenance contractors, and service providers, ensuring timely resolution of issues and execution of contractual obligations.
Conduct risk assessments across contracts and commercial operations, identifying exposure and recommending mitigations.
Drive portfolio value optimization through variance analysis, renegotiation opportunities, and proactive contract management.
Identify and implement cost reduction strategies related to O&M, asset level expenses, and third-party services.
Manage warranty claims, performance guarantees, and equipment failure resolutions in collaboration with OEMs and service providers.
Lead commercial negotiations and execution of amendments, renewals, and new agreements in coordination with legal and executive teams.
Track and enforce compliance with all commercial agreements, including PPAs, interconnection agreements, land leases, and merchant revenue participation.
Technical Operations
Oversee daily operations of utility-scale solar assets, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across the portfolio.
Partner with O&M providers to monitor and improve plant performance, leveraging SCADA and monitoring platforms to track real-time data and KPIs.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for performance deviations and outages.
Coordinate project commissioning and handover from construction to operations, ensuring documentation, testing, and warranty initiation are complete.
Develop and oversee site-level maintenance plans, asset health reviews, and performance optimization strategies.
Support technical audits, annual inspections, and NERC or environmental compliance as applicable.
General & Strategic Responsibilities
Serve as the operational lead for day-to-day asset management, ensuring execution of both recurring and ad hoc responsibilities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with development, engineering, finance, legal, and compliance teams to align asset operations with business strategy.
Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement within the asset management function.
Maintain organized and auditable project documentation in line with internal controls, stakeholder expectations, and industry standards.
Support strategic initiatives including refinancing, M&A diligence, and tax equity structuring.
Represent the company in partner meetings, regulatory discussions, and cross-organizational workstreams as needed.
Knowledge
Understanding of utility-scale solar PV systems, including design, operations, maintenance, and performance analytics.
Proficient in financial management of energy assets, including budgeting, P&L analysis, cash flow forecasting, and tax equity and debt compliance.
Familiarity with key project agreements such as PPAs, O&M and EPC contracts, interconnection agreements, and financing documents
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration
Experience
3-5 years of experience in Asset Management or Operations
The ideal candidate worked for financial investors active in the renewable space internationally, and IPP or a vertically integrated developer

Responsibilities- Maximize the total return through implementing operational efficiencies and identifying value-add and revenue enhancement strategies.
- Work closely with third party property managers, leasing agents, brokers, consultants, and attorneys to provide direction for, and oversight of, business plans, annual budgets, lease analysis and approvals.
