We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction management , specifically within the food & beverage or restaurant industry. The ideal candidate will oversee all phases of store build-outs , from pre-construction planning and site evaluation to permitting, execution, and final turnover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, on budget, and in full compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish for new store openings in the U.S.
- Work with cross-functional teams including design, architecture, real estate, operations, and marketing
- Develop and manage project timelines , budgets, and construction schedules
- Evaluate and select vendors , contractors, and consultants for each project
- Review drawings and plans to ensure compliance with Bacio di Latte’s brand standards and local building codes
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality
- Handle RFI, Change Orders , and resolve any field issues that may delay the opening
- Ensure all projects meet health, safety, accessibility (ADA), and food service regulations
- Provide weekly project updates to stakeholders and leadership
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in project management for construction and permitting food & beverage, or hospitality sectors
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously across different regions
- Strong understanding of U.S. building codes , health department regulations , and permitting processes
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore, AutoCAD)
- Experience working with architects, contractors, and city officials
- Ability to read construction documents and architectural drawings
- Experience conducting site visits and construction management
- Availability to travel
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Spanish or Portuguese is a plus (but not required)
