- May at times maintain and conduct preventive maintenance on machines. Check air pressures, oil levels and perform minimal maintenance to correct issues to assist operators;
- Transport very heavy loads with crane, power pusher, or electric pallet jack;
- Must be able to lead a team in a production environment;
- Drive 5S adherence and complete 5S audits;
- Lead and participate in audits and/or safety investigations;
- Conduct Standard Work audits;
- Drive adherence to start -of-shift checklists for equipment and safety;
- Cross train and ensure that operator training is conducted in a timely fashion;
- Must be a self-starter and ability to demonstrate strong initiative. Capable of interpreting technical instructions, dealing with large degrees of variation with part and process consistency while delivering the highest levels of quality components;
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accountability for all materials;
- Coordinate with the quality department on all items needing inspection, and support the process as required.
Essential and Physical Activities Functions
- Strength - Must be able to lift and carry up to 35-50 lbs., and push and pull up to 35-50 lbs;
- Motion - Constant walking, frequent and sustained bending, crouching, stopping, kneeing, squatting and overhead reaching and climbing ladders;
- Vision/Hearing Requirements - Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and hear audible alarms;

**MISSION / SUMMARY:**

+ The Assistant responsibilities can include feeding, packing, labeling, palletizing, operation of the banding/wrapping equipment and operation of Packsize equipment.
+ Lift handfuls of material and placing in the feeder of the equipment.
+ Pack cartons into cases directly behind gluers or directly after stripping
+ Inspect cartons - ONLY Quality Products are to be packed!
+ Strip individual cartons off die cut loads
+ Off bear cartons off cut loads into separate copies or die positions
+ Prepare cases, layer boards, and labels for jobs
+ Check job ticket or spec book for appropriate pallet configuration
+ Stack cartons according to spec on pallet. Confirm that labels are correct and facing out, as applicable, on all finishing pallets. Also making sure corrugated is all lined up and matches in appearance.
+ Stretch wrap complete pallets and send to shipping
+ Scan finished goods and input data into computer
+ Re-stock materials for the following crews, which include but not limited to, making lids, corrugated stocked and also keeping the tables stocked up with tape
+ Operate electric Pallet Jacks safely to move WIP or finished pallets.
+ Maintain the cleanliness of the area (remove stray cartons, sweep up, etc.) performed during make ready.
+ Conduct quality audits as required

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Answers telephones, directs calls and takes messages.

2. Completes daily reports for supervisors and management.

3. Assists in conducting payroll activities.

4. Maintains employee work schedules.

6. Sorts, files, and scans documents.

7. Maintains an accurate inventory of office supplies.

9. Regular attendance and punctuality are required due to working with people, items and equipment that are at the facility.

Job Specifications

1. 1+ years’ experience in an office environment is required.

2. High School Diploma or equivalents is required.

3. Basic PC skills are required.

Working Conditions

1. Office, production, and warehouse environments.

2. Occasionally lift packages up to 20 pounds.

3. The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.

4. Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.

This is a part-time project/limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
As a Freelance Production Assistant, you are responsible for assisting production personnel on Atlantic 10 Basketball (Men and Women), WNBA, Golf and other potential sports.
Responsibilities:
+ Handle remote and/or studio production needs and requests
+ Assist with editing of sports television and/or video segments, including, but not limited to, highlight packages, bumpers and teases, as well as cueing shots and properly securing footage to be used in such segments
+ Help coordinate the maintenance and organization of sports television and/or video graphics
+ Support in daily highlight operation (screening, logging, writing and edit guidance)
+ Monitor newsfeeds
+ Secure video and audio footage to be used in highlight packages and features
+ Learn library and archive system
+ Assist in graphic coordination and features production
+ Perform required sports research
+ Regularly generate and distribute story and show ideas for all shows and platforms
+ Participate in production planning meetings
+ Support all phases of production
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
+ Minimum 1+ years of professional production experience

+ Ability to adhere to tight deadlines, communicate clearly and be able to handle multiple tasks in a highly pressurized environment
+ Collaborative, team oriented and is comfortable in a group atmosphere

The job of a Production Assistant is to assist the KCBS multimedia news operation in all aspects of delivering news and information to Northern California.
