- Space monitoring
- Db2 checkouts
- UTS conversion for dev
- UT conversion for prod
- Create db2 objects as per request
- Working on DRDA requests
- Fixing database issues
- Create new jobs
- Scheduling jobs
- Checking and Sign off Audit reports
- Capacity planning
- Prepare SQL queries
- Attend meeting system and application meetings
- Involving toggle migrations
- Working on pre db2 migration tasks.
- Handling DB2 version release for Production and Non-Production Environment.
- Daily activities include monitoring Databases, checking error logs, checking the log file size and free space in the data drives, checking Index fragmentation and connectivity of the databases.
- Create Jobs, Alerts and Maintenance Plans.
- Upgrading/Migration the DB2
- Provide database support such as User permission management, backup/restore activities, Index fragmentation, statistics updates and database performance related issues on client-server environment.
- Creating and Managing clustered indexes and non-clustered indexes to increase the performance of database queries.
- Handle space issues on Production and Non-Production database server.
- Create Knowledge articles to document known issues.
- Backup Design & Management. Performance tuning on Database/System. Patch/upgrade Management for Database on Server.
- Day to Day Troubleshooting with Application. Space/device Management.
- Configuring and Managing Production as well as Test database. Creating new databases.
