We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with deep expertise in Power BI visualization and design, along with experience in data analytics and business intelligence. This role is crucial in translating complex business requirements into compelling, interactive dashboards and reports that drive data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with stakeholders across departments to ensure that visual analytics align with business objectives and offer actionable insights.
After one year as our Data Analyst, you will know you were successful if you can confidently and independently do the following.
- Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics.
- Collaborate with business leaders to gather and understand requirements and transform them into effective visualizations.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by working closely with data engineers and stakeholders.
- Develop data models that support business intelligence reporting.
- Implement best practices in visualization design, ensuring clarity, usability, and impact.

What we are looking for.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum experience requirements: At least one year of relevant experience with a master's degree, or three years with a bachelor's degree, in data analytics, business intelligence, or visualization development.
- Proven expertise in Power BI dashboard development and design.
- Strong business acumen with an ability to align visualizations with operational goals.
- Advanced proficiency in DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data modeling.
- Experience working with large datasets and ensuring efficient data processing.

Primary Duties:
- Develop a strong understanding of business requirements and work with business users to define reporting requirements.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI self-service reports and dashboards, identifying KPIs to let business answer drivers of results, predict future outcomes and/or perform what-if analysis.
- Execute data queries across multiple data sources in support of business intelligence reporting needs.
- Provide the IT Manager of the company with useful, timely and regular reporting of user requirements and to service the current needs of the company.
- Solve problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.
- Develop and implement systems policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience with Power BI and DAX building effective data visualizations required.
- 2+ years of experience in SQL required.
- Python coding and Oracle ERP experience preferred.
- Database and API integration experience.
- Extensive data wrangling experience in data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, validation, and enrichment.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and project management skills.

- Verbally explain/defend in-process and completed work to colleagues and clients in informal and formal settings
- Develop proficiency in various software applications to support solving client problems in an efficient, repeatable, intuitive, and transparent manner
- Train/guide less experienced team members
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research or statistics) or a discipline that fosters problem solving, structured thought, and creativity.
- Experience utilizing Tableau, PowerBI, and/or Oracle Data Analytics/Visualization tools
- A strong understanding of creating SQL queries
- Minimum of 1-3 years of quantitative analysis and problem solving experience.
- Defense, intelligence, and/or civil agency program cost and economics analysis desirable.
