**Job Description**
We are seeking a **Database Architect** to design and develop efficient, scalable, and secure database systems. This is a **full-time** **hybrid** position located onsite. The role requires hands-on experience in building new relational data models and ensuring rigorous testing and high availability of databases.
**What You'll Do**
+ Design and develop database systems with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and security

Leidos is looking for a Database Architect to provide leadership on a mission-critical program supporting assigneddivision within Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) in Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs)into the United States.

**The Role**
Designs, models, documents, and guides the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications. Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications. May create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.
We're seeking a proactive SAP HANA Database Administrator to join our team and ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our SAP HANA environments. In this role, you'll manage system replication for disaster recovery, implement patches and updates, and ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and SOX requirements. You'll collaborate with developers and application teams to troubleshoot database and application issues, support upgrade efforts, and monitor system performance to meet service level agreements. The role also involves writing and maintaining shell scripts to automate routine tasks, managing vulnerability remediation, and aligning database operations with vendor best practices. It provides technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. This is a hands-on, cross functional role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
