Positive Growth, Inc. is community based program that provides outpatient mental health services. We provide mental health services to children, youth, adults, and families. We also have a Multicultural Services component that provides multilingual and culturally sensitive services to clients that are new to the United States. Those positions provide culturally sensitive mental health services to immigrants and refugee children, youth, adults, and families. Speaking another language is a plus. All positions require both in-person and virtual sessions.
Our positions open include:
Mental Health Therapist provides individual, family, and group counseling for children, adolescents and adults with mental health/substance abuse diagnoses. Full Time (20-25) and part-time (12-15) caseloads available. Outreach therapy is expected. Must be flexible to work days and evenings. This position requires a Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Chemical Dependency or Counseling and candidates should have LAPC, LMSW, LPC, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT or PsyD status in the state of Georgia. Experience working with multicultural children/ adolescents and adults with mental health disabilities is strongly preferred.
Mental Health Assessor (MHA) conducts thorough biopsychosocial assessments for children, adolescents, and adults to determine the level of treatment required. Bilingual speaking assessors are a plus, but we have interpreters on staff. The MHA identifies treatment needs and recommends treatment plans through the development of treatment goals based on information obtained during the assessment.
Community Support Professionals/Case Managers (PP): This is a contract position, which involves working with children, youth and adults providing skill building as well as coordination and linkage to outside supports such as the school, medical, and psychiatric supports, etc. Note: When working with children, you are expected to be able to see children in the late afternoon daily and sometimes into the early evening; beyond that you set your own schedule. In addition, the Community Support Professionals/Case Managers must be willing to meet with other caregivers of the child (i.e teacher, school counselors, etc.). Completion of a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, counseling, criminal justice, or possessing a masters degree is preferred but not required. This position includes both virtual and in-person contact.
