Job Description

The Walt Disney Company's Disney Entertainment ("DE") is a global business segment with the mission of providing consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms, at a time of rapidly-evolving consumer habits. DE is responsible for the company's full portfolio of entertainment media and content businesses globally, including the Company's direct-to-consumer ("DTC") streaming services - Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu - alongside Disney's international media businesses. DE aligns cutting-edge technology with world-class content and beloved brands to expand the Company's global footprint and deliver highly-personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world.
Disney DTC is a business unit within Disney Entertainment that includes all consumer-facing digital video subscription services across the company. Our core mission is to deliver global audiences the freedom to access content on their terms across any connected device, time or location.
Tactical Opportunities is a lean, strategic growth-focused team within the DTC organization, reporting directly to the SVP/Head of Business Planning and closely supporting the SVP/CFO of Disney DTC. This team operates within three main pillars of focus: product strategy and opportunity sizing, sub growth and profitability initiatives, and senior executive presentations. Our goal is to drive growth for Disney+ and Hulu services in collaboration with stakeholders across Product/Tech/Data, Business Planning, and Business Operations.
**Job Summary:**
The Disney+ Tactical Opportunities Manager will support growth for Disney+ and Hulu through executive materials and analyses. This team leads growth narrative deliverables particularly focused on subscribers and profitability for C-Suite level executives and DTC leadership. This includes building materials in a clear and digestible manner for Board of Directors meetings, the Annual Operating Plan, and the 5-Year Plan. Given the dynamic scope and type of work within Tactical Opportunities, projects will often be complex, ambiguous, fluid, and involve multiple stakeholders. As such, success in this highly impactful role requires robust analytical and presentation skills with a strong interest in leveraging data to solve problems. The Manager will be expected to work independently on projects with minimal oversight, and adeptly manage expectations of peers and cross-functional partners across Subscriber Planning, Finance, Business Operations, and Product, Data & Analytics. Broadly defined, the work in this role will help shape Disney's DTC growth strategy.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Architect thoughtful, clear, and digestible Senior Executive materials to tell the ever-evolving overall DTC growth story
+ Work closely with Finance to synthesize the pulse of the DTC business across Subscribers, Revenue, Ad Sales, Content, and Marketing for fast and informed executive decision-making
+ Drive forecasting analysis and narrative of Global subscribers and P&L for Disney+ and Hulu in partnership with Subscriber Planning, DTC Finance, and Business Operations
+ Provide strategic support to Business Planning and Operations for sound execution and communication of growth initiatives
+ Leverage a data-driven approach to generate buy-in from cross-functional partners and regional stakeholders
+ Tactically execute quick-turnaround, executive ad hoc requests for the broader DTC org
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 4 years of relevant experience in corporate/direct-to-consumer strategy, strategic finance, or similar fields
+ Impeccable excel skills with experience navigating large data sets, building financial/subscription models, and tackling broader analytical analyses
+ Excellent PowerPoint and accompanying communication skills, with an ability to distill complex ideas into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
+ Thrive in ambiguity with a deliverable-focused attitude, strong work ethic, ability to prioritize, and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
+ Knowledge and understanding of subscription / DTC KPIs and media & entertainment industry experience is a strong plus

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
