**Qualifications:**

What Do You Need?  

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science or graduate program accredited in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related engineering field.
  • If pursuing a bachelor’s degree, completion of at least sophomore year (60 or more credit hours).
  • Employee must have successfully completed courses in the following fields:
    • Mathematics – Calculus, Differential Equations
    • Science – General Physics
    • Engineering – Basic Circuit Analysis, Static Body Analysis
    • Computing – Minimum of 6 credit hours in modern computer programming languages (C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Pascal, or similar)
  • Understanding of the development of embedded hardware and firmware for 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers using C/C++ is preferred.
  • Understanding of the development of application software for embedded Linux systems is a plus.
  • Experience developing desktop applications in C# or Python is a plus.

Position Summary:

The Programmer / Data Analyst position is part of the Decision Support Team and supports the organization's data driven management strategies. This position is responsible for pulling and analyzing health care data, including HCC and RAF scores. Data mining, manipulation of data using Excel and high level critical thinking are essential job functions. This position may also provide programming support in the form of SQL coding, Access database development and maintenance, Tableau dashboard creation and deployment of reports using SSRS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Extract and analyze data with SQL scripts
  • Manipulate and interpret data using Excel and Access
  • Analyze data on key health care metrics such an HCC, RAF scores, enrollment growth and utilization of services
  • Decode end user report requests into SQL specifications
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Be responsive to end-user requests for customization of existing reports
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members
  • Create dashboards for presentation to the Executive Team
  • Develop user friendly database solutions in Microsoft Access
  • Develop and support Tableau Dashboards
  • Develop reporting solutions using SSRS
  • Support the library of Crystal Reports
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and deadlines
  • All other duties as directed by management
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be up to $100k annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Education and / or Experience:
  • 3+ years of SQL programming experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare organization
  • 3+ years of experience producing and analyzing reports
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
  • SSRS and/or Tableau experience preferred
  • Knowledge of relationship database theory preferred
  • Access database development (VBA) experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage competing deadlines
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to end users

What You'll Do

As a Programmer, you'll transform engineering models into production-ready files while also developing software tools that streamline operations and reduce repetitive work. This role combinesprecision CNC programming withcustom software development to improve efficiency and productivity across our manufacturing processes.

You will:
  • Translate engineering models and technical drawings into CNC programs.
  • Generate machine files for CNC operations (wood and/or steel) and optimize nesting to maximize material yield.
  • Develop build schedules for material handling and press operations.
  • Design and build custom software tools and scripts to automate repetitive programming and production tasks.
  • Create user-friendly interfaces or utilities that streamline processes, making them faster and more accurate.
  • Integrate software solutions with CNC programming workflows, CAD/CAM tools, and production systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to understand needs and deliver process-driven software solutions.
  • Use AI and automation techniques to enhance workflow speed and accuracy further.
  • Apply LEAN methodology to identify and implement process improvements.

Our Benefits
  • INSURANCE | All employees and their dependents will have the ability to enroll in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. If enrolled, benefits begin on the first day of the month following the 60thday of employment at Watson.
  • RETIREMENT | Watson will match 50% of employees' 401k contributions, up to 2.5% of base annual salary. All employees over the age of 21 will be automatically enrolled on the first day of the month following 6 months of employment. You can opt out, decrease, or increase contribution at any time.
  • PAID TIME OFF | Hourly employees will earn 80 hours of paid time off during their first year at Watson, 120 hours of paid time off during years 2-5, and 160 hours of paid time off each year after being employed for 6 years. Salaried employees can enjoy no cap on their PTO. However, reasonable time off in your first year is considered to be a couple of weeks.
  • PAID HOLIDAYS | Watson is closed for 8 holidays every year and offers every employee an additional paid holiday to choose upon employment.
  • PROFIT SHARING | Profit Sharing is how we reward the effort and commitment of our employees. Generally, 25% of profits are allocated to the Profit Sharing Plan after the baseline profit level is met. The overall profit sharing amount varies from year to year.
