**Job Summary**
Our Traffic Control Supervisor supports the Construction Manager and has full responsibility for managing and coordinating traffic control activities as assigned for this large, multi-year telecommunications construction project. The project will take place in multiple jurisdictions throughout the Bay Area and will require an astute, well organized professional with proven experience working with regulatory officials. The ability to read and interpret complex and detailed traffic control plans as included in issued construction permits is critical. This supervisory role includes responsibility for directing the work of team members and interaction with both underground and aerial construction crews. The ideal candidate is credentialed and certified to manage and conduct all traffic management scenarios.
**Pay rate:** $22.00 - $26.00
Responsibilities
+ Places, removes and repairs temporary and permanent traffic control devices.
+ Coordinates traffic flaggers in construction areas.
+ Supervises traffic flaggers in the work zone.
+ Responsibility for managing time and administrative functions for direct reports.
+ Complies with all organizational and regulatory safety standards and ensures all team members attend and execute pre-task safety planning requirements each day.
+ Creates and interprets traffic control plans for various construction projects and implements compliant plans in the field.
+ Inspect traffic control devices to ensure functionality, placement, and safety compliance.
+ Manages direction of traffic using signs, paddles, hand gestures, radios and/or verbal communication.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years relevant experience in a Supervisory role.
- Current and valid state Driver's License.
- Knowledge of manual on Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) guidelines and the translation of this to control traffic by using proper devices and techniques.
- ATSSA certification or comparable course certification.
- Solid understanding of construction job sites.
- Knowledge of safety rules for construction sites and the ability to abide by them.
- 500 hours experience in traffic control flagging.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex and detailed construction and traffic control plans.
- Ability to effectively present and direct detailed instructions to team members in small groups.
- Ability to perform and understand fundamental mathematical problems including multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, fractions, whole numbers and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and to maintain and submit daily logs and reports.
- Ability to work nights, weekend and holidays if needed.

**Job Summary**
**Traffic Control Technicians** will help control movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects by performing the following duties listed below.
The Maintenance of Traffic worker is required to perform temporary traffic control operations in order to maintain traffic on a roadway construction project in a manner that protects and conveys the public in an efficient manner within a specified work zone.
Responsibilities
+ This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, company policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
+ Additional duties or job functions may be required as deemed necessary by management personnel to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
+ Set-up and maintain traffic control devices, installation and service work-zone signs, and lights.
+ Set up and maintain assigned Maintenance of Traffic activity including and detours and lane closures.
+ Coordinate services with the on-site client representative or officials.
+ Load and unload equipment into and out of company trucks.
+ Deliver / Pick-up equipment from customer jobsites.
+ If approved driver, may operate a company vehicle and maintain company standards with Motor Vehicle Record.
Qualifications
**Minimum**
+ High School Diploma/GED and be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally.
+ Valid license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
+ Pass initial drug screening & background check.
+ Maintain company standards post-employment for background checks, criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing.
+ Capable of repeated physical effort including driving for many hours per day and/or several hours at a time, standing and walking for extended periods of time, walking on varying ground surfaces, frequently lifting a minimum of 50 pounds, ability to work from elevated platforms, ladders or truck beds, and comfortable around vehicles moving through work zones.
+ Ability to operate hand/power tools, manual dexterity to operate keyboards and smart phones, physical agility to use arms, legs and hands repetitively.
+ Maintain constant awareness of surroundings on construction site including placement of machinery and equipment, other employees and construction activities.
+ Vision adequate to see moving vehicles, read highway construction MOT signs, read instructions, manuals, reports, and construction plans.
+ Hearing adequate to hear approaching vehicles, audible commands at a distance, conversations in person, and over the telephone.
+ Ability to work safely outdoors and under adverse environmental conditions which include high speed traffic areas, heavy construction equipment, fuel fumes, construction substances and all weather conditions.
+ Must be able to work a flexible schedule which will include changing work schedule and overtime which may include night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
+ Capable of working individually and as a team with other employees, communicate clearly both written and verbally.

**Job Summary**
Street Lighting Technician will help control movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects by performing the following duties listed below.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain a consistent and unrelenting focus on safety throughout all job functions.
+ Distribute traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern.
+ Manage day to day work zone set up, maintenance and tear down, meeting, or exceeding customer, state and company expectations.
+ Lift, carry and place up to 50 lbs. of traffic cones to ensure the safety of the work zone.
+ Lift, carry, place, and assemble traffic control signs in the proper order to manage work zone traffic.
+ Keep equipment in trucks well organized and in working order.
+ Develop superior knowledge of work zone setup, design and professional flagging responsibilities and be willing to share your knowledge with teammates.
+ Direct movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals.
+ Warn laborers and drivers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.
+ Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
+ Record license number of traffic control violators for police.
+ Give hand marker to last driver in line up of one-way traffic for flagger at opposite end of site, signaling clearance for reverse flow of traffic.
+ Write and review maintenance and incident reports for on-site issues or concerns.

**Job Summary**
Our Traffic Control Supervisor supports the Construction Manager and has full responsibility for managing and coordinating traffic control activities as assigned for this large, multi-year telecommunications construction project. The project will take place in multiple jurisdictions throughout the Bay Area and will require an astute, well organized professional with proven experience working with regulatory officials. The ability to read and interpret complex and detailed traffic control plans as included in issued construction permits is critical. This supervisory role includes responsibility for directing the work of team members and interaction with both underground and aerial construction crews. The ideal candidate is credentialed and certified to manage and conduct all traffic management scenarios.
Responsibilities
+ Places, removes and repairs temporary and permanent traffic control devices.
+ Coordinates traffic flaggers in construction areas.
+ Supervises traffic flaggers in the work zone.
+ Responsibility for managing time and administrative functions for direct reports.
+ Complies with all organizational and regulatory safety standards and ensures all team members attend and execute pre-task safety planning requirements each day.
+ Creates and interprets traffic control plans for various construction projects and implements compliant plans in the field.

Qualifications

- Three (3) years relevant experience in a Supervisory role.
- Current and valid state Driver's License.
- Knowledge of manual on Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) guidelines and the translation of this to control traffic by using proper devices and techniques.
- ATSSA certification or comparable course certification.
- Solid understanding of construction job sites.
- Knowledge of safety rules for construction sites and the ability to abide by them.
- 500 hours experience in traffic control flagging.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex and detailed construction and traffic control plans.
- Ability to effectively present and direct detailed instructions to team members in small groups.
- Ability to perform and understand fundamental mathematical problems including multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, fractions, whole numbers and decimals.

Job Description

Role Description: As a Traffic Control Flagger, you will play a crucial role in:

  • Establishing and maintaining safe work zones using the proper equipment.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure the safety of all.
  • Managing traffic flow effectively with stop/slow paddles.
  • Delivering exceptional service and protection to our clients.
Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours a day and lift 50-60 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings.
  • Experience driving.
  • Must pass pre-employment screenings, including a drug test as this is a safety sensitive role

  • Competitive Pay:  $21.00 to $21.75/hour based on experience, overtime opportunities, guaranteed pay increase within the first year.
  • Rapid Advancement:  Potential opportunities to progress to Senior Protector in just 4 months, with further growth potential to Lead Protector, Field Supervisor, or Manager roles.
  • Comprehensive Training:  Paid, on-the-job training including ATSSA certification and defensive driving, with ongoing professional development.
