We’re looking for a talented, highly driven senior product designer to join our team. As a product designer at Zuma, you will be driving design concepts, creating UX flows and prototypes, conducting research, and creating high fidelity designs for our internal & customer-facing web platform.

• You’ll own design projects end-to-end, from ideation and research to pixel-perfect execution for new and existing products and features.
• You’ll partner closely with Engineering and Product Management to build and ship experiences that delight our users.
• You’ll work directly with our Product Manager to cultivate a creative design process that is built on strong cross-functional collaboration.
• You’ll add to and maintain our visual design language across both our external and internal-facing products.

Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of related professional experience, leading design initiatives and strategy on consumer or enterprise experiences
• High proficiency with prototyping and visual design software, including Sketch
• A portfolio that demonstrates UX and visual skills in digital products.
• Willingness to work extremely hard within a fast-paced environment in order to turn around high-quality designs quickly
• Ability to defend your work, but also take creative feedback and execute updates in a professional manner
• Unafraid to ask questions and communicate effectively and openly, working across teams and directly with department heads

Basic Qualifications:

• Five years of relevant work experience in strategizing and managing UI/UX projects, implementing design and enhanced user experience on web applications through design process: ability to take and incorporate feedback into design iterations, prototype development, and modification with the understanding of design principles, usability, and user-centered design.

• Five years of proficiency and understanding of design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar. Knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, and prototyping. Ability to implement new design trends, tools, and technologies. Familiarity with front-end development technologies and coding languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) can be a plus.

• Serve as design strategist to District's One Enrollment project and develop design strategy for application development.

• Manage and develop design prototypes using interactive wireframes (low to mid fidelity) with emerging designs aligned with digital innovation, resolving complex business workflow, using District's design mission.

• Collaborate with project stakeholders and vendors to effectively promote innovative design and user experience.

• Prepare detailed documentation on all aspects of the integrated enterprise design strategy.

• Provides support to One Enrollment project's development team.

• Collaborate and maintain effective relationships with District staff and system development teams as needed.

Desirable Qualifications:

• The UI/UX Analyst is responsible for establishing the overall application look and feel as well as designing, communicating, and executing all user interface screens for each business requirement. The UI/UX Analyst directs the overall design and user experience for the delivered product.
• This role works closely with the Business Analyst and Technical Lead in the delivery of solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
