This position is a helper/assistant role, who will be expected to maintain, clean and organize shop spaces and follow directions from other techs in any task to keep the shop safe and clean. Receive, stock and track parts that are ordered.  This role also collaborates to manage and maintain vehicle parts inventories. This individual must be willing to learn to perform basic preventative maintenance on all types of mountain fleet vehicles with guidance and direction of more skilled mechanics, training provided, experience not required. **Job Responsibilities**
+ Maintain, clean, organize all shop spaces. Replace and refill inventory consumables.
+ Assist in managing and maintain fleet parts inventories, cleanliness and organization of that zone.
+ Clean and assist with vehicle cleanliness, and ensure the fleet has all safety supplies on board.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to safety by being an active participant in a safety oriented shop culture
+ Be able to jump in and assist all other team members with any task needed.
+ Perform or be willing to learn basic maintenance tasks on a variety of mountain fleet vehicles with guidance from all other mechanic technicians.

Valid driver’s license;

Clean Harbors Prince George, VA  is looking for a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic  to join their safety conscious team! This position will be responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of all company owned fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed;
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues;
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment;
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery;
• Complete daily checklist as required
• Assure that Equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work in a team environment
• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience
• Must provide own basic tools
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required)
• Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire
