What You Will Do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provision processes to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with ASC 740

• Own income tax workpapers and disclosures for the US GAAP financial statement audit

• Communicate anticipated tax results to key stakeholders based on business operations and key drivers

• Participate in analysis of economic and tax impacts of various business opportunities

• Build relationship and partner with various tax, accounting and business team members to understand and optimize various business tax positions

• Provide leadership and development of analysts and senior analysts throughout the tax accounting organization

• Identify and drive waste elimination and transformation opportunities that will provide value within the tax accounting organization

• Own and collaborate on consolidated state tax accounting footprint, including but not limited to, state tax ETR, state attribute utilization and valuation allowance analysis, state cash tax positions

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Progressive career experience in corporate or state income taxation, tax accounting, financial reporting, or accounting related roles

• Proficient understanding and application of ASC740 principles including but not limited to income tax provisions, effective tax rates, deferred tax balances, valuation allowances, etc.

• Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of data from multiple systems and use advanced tools to perform analysis and develop a point of view

• Foundational understanding of state income tax concepts including apportionment and state filing types

• Experience presenting financial concepts to various audiences to effectively engage stakeholders and partnering with others to bridge gaps and solve problems

• Experience with Alteryx, Sigma, or other data analysis platforms

Position Summary

The Director of Accounting provides financial and accounting leadership for the Metal Roofing Division (Flatiron Teton, Epic, CMP and Gideon). Also provides oversight of the aforementioned organizations and supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in calculating, posting, and verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records by performing these duties.

Initially, this role will entail enhancing and/or developing the Metal Roofing Division's accounting policies and procedures to align with US GAAP, SOX and Corporate policies and to ensure consistent financial operations. The responsibilities androle will subsequently migrate towards the evaluation of divisional performance against both the annual budget and long-term strategy. Additionally, this position will support the President and leadership team in identifying opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency, incorporating input from other division leaders as appropriate.

Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)

Provides timely and comprehensive reports, including month-end, quarter-end and year-end, along with continuous and periodic analysis of balance sheet reconciliations, expenditures, financial performance, budgets, inventories, capital expense, manufacturing performance and forecasts of present and future performance of the organization. Drives accountability and reporting with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.

Directs the maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions; reviews entries to the general ledger and support location ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with the organization's policies, accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Responsible for the overall Sarbanes-Oxley compliance process for location. Establishes and maintains a system of internal controls that functions as designed to ensure accuracy and completeness. Serves as main partner for both internal and external audits, providing specific support for preparation and auditing of SOX controls.

Develops and implements goals, policies, and procedures related to the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections, property, plant and equipment, and sales and property tax.

Oversees the monthly financial review process, coordinating and assisting organizational leaders in understanding metrics, dashboard indicators, directional trends and the potential causes and effects of results attained. Additionally, support the President and leadership team in identifying opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency, incorporating input from other division leaders as appropriate.

Serves as a partner in MIS including assisting the team's identification and transition to a new/enhanced ERP system, including ensuring accurate financial data migration, aligning reporting structures, and streamlining compliance processes. Provide assistance to MIS activities and supports the team to assure related activities assist the organization achieve high quality IT and infrastructure support.

Consistent communication and partnership with Gibraltar Corporate and peer controllers in the Residential segment.

In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to balance peak work periods, or to otherwise manage the workload.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements for internal and external stakeholders, including lenders, investors, and auditors.
- Conduct technical research to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to streamline operations and ensure consistency.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance on special projects and ad hoc reporting.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process and assist in preparing audit schedules.
- Ensure uniform accounting practices across multiple business entities within the organization.
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), internal controls, and company policies.
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Address and resolve any accounting-related issues or challenges that arise.
- Lead initiatives to enhance accounting systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, including managerial roles.
- At least 2-3+ years of experience in public accounting or a similar environment.
- Proven expertise working in a large, multi-unit organization, preferably in the hospitality or retail industry.
- In-depth knowledge of technical accounting principles, including GAAP compliance.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a focus on team development and performance management.

As
a Revenue Accounting Consultant, you will support the revenue team at a global
technology client. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate
recordings and recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606, lead
month-end close activities, assist in automation, process improvements and
system enhancements and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. The
ideal candidate will be well-versed in ASC 606, has strong analytical skills,
experience in recurring revenue models, able to navigate ambiguity, and has
excellent communication skills to effectively facilitate information flow
between cross-functional business partners and the Finance organization.
+ Review and interpret customer contracts, assess andsummarize revenue implications, and document conclusions on revenuerecognition treatment in accordance with current US GAAP and ASC 606
+ Lead month-end close and quarterly revenue process,including maintaining the general ledger and sub ledgers, prepare andreview journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and analyzeaccount variances
+ Determine monthly revenue forecast and perform monthlyrevenue analysis and calculation. Generate monthly revenue and expenditurereports to management.
+ Review revenue recognition schedules for accuracy,integrity, and compliance with appropriate accounting standards. Ensureimplementation of the company's revenue recognition policy are in place.
+ Maintain and analyze deferred revenue and unbilledaccounts.
+ Partner cross-functionally with Sales Ops, Legal, DealDesk, and FP&A to review deals and drive compliant revenue treatment.
+ Support the design and implementation of scalablerevenue systems and processes (e. . , automation, reporting enhancements).
+ Work closely with external auditors to provide supportfor revenue-related audit requests and documentation.
+ Contribute to key projects including new systemimplementations, revenue forecasting, and internal controls (SOX readinessor compliance).
+ 10+ years of revenue accounting and revenue recognitionexperience
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or RelatedField
+ Global Technology or SaaS industry experience a must!
+ Strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 606
+ Proficiency in ERP (Oracle, SAP) and revenuerecognition tools (e. . , NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce CPQ, RevPro).
+ SQL experience an advantage. G Suite, MS Suite andother collaboration tools experience
+ Highly analytical, strong attention to detail andexcellent organizational skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ CPA strongly preferred but not required.
+ Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
+ Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
