This position serves as both a strategic and tactical resource-leading the development, execution, and optimization of client campaigns across multiple platforms. In addition to building and managing high-impact campaigns, the Sr. Digital Advertising Specialist is responsible for continuously enhancing our digital advertising infrastructure, refining service offerings, and contributing to the evolution of internal tools and processes. **Responsibilities:**
**Client Campaign Development & Execution**
+ Lead the creation and continuous refinement of digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google, Bing, Facebook, and others.
+ Own the full lifecycle of campaign builds-from strategic planning to execution-ensuring alignment with client goals and market opportunities.
**Campaign Management & Optimization**
+ Oversee daily campaign maintenance and performance optimization, including:

+ Management of advanced features (e.g., RLSA, ad extensions, shared libraries)

**Client & Cross-Team Collaboration**

**Qualifications:**
+ Proficient in managing and optimizing campaigns within Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Meta Ads platforms
+ Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for data analysis, reporting, and presentation development
+ Strong command of spelling, grammar, and written communication, with the ability to create clear and professional client-facing materials
+ Solid analytical and mathematical skills with a proven ability to interpret large data sets and draw actionable insights
+ Highly detail-oriented with the ability to identify and correct inconsistencies in data, copy, or campaign execution
+ Google Ads Certification required; additional platform certifications a plus

**Education and Experience:**

Summary:
- Help build & optimize the global media infrastructure and ways of working within the team and with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop global & regional standards for media operations & governance, define KPIs that underpin media goals and objectives, and ensure adoption across teams

- Help lead & improve general media team on-boarding process & requirements for new hires

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be process-driven. Track record of designing, building and implementing new processes and ways of working including desire for continuous process improvement
- Strong project management experience including documentation of project plans, timeline and KPI tracking.
- Understanding of media discipline, channels and nomenclature, tracking tools & systems and regulatory guidelines
- At least 4-5 years' experience in media agency or experience working with global & regional media agencies
- At least 3-5 years' experience in an Operations role in related field (Marketing, Media, Agency/Advertising or Business)
- Experience in change management --- must have understanding and demonstration of application of transition or change management processes in complex environments
- College degree in Marketing, Advertising or 5+ years equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of building operational ways of working and influencing, and effectively managing task completion.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, and working effectively with cross functional teams such as Finance, Sourcing, Marketing teams.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years within regulatory affairs, preferably within advertising and promotion or completion of a Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program focused on Regulatory Affairs, including Advertising and Promotion with 1-year work related experience
- Requires advanced scientific degree (i.e., Masters, PharmD, Ph.D) or at minimum, a Bachelor's degree (BS) from an accredited college or university in Life Sciences.
- Knowledge of regulations, guidelines and precedents related to pharmaceutical product development and marketing, with focus in the area of advertising and promotion
- Experience with pharmaceutical products required, biologics experience is a plus
- Experience working directly/indirectly with the FDA, specifically OPDP/APLB is preferred

Novartis has an incredible opportunity for a talented individual to join our team as the Director, Regulatory Affairs Advertising & Promotion. You will provide strategic regulatory advice on advertising and promotion and medical materials to the US organization for assigned products, including launch products or indications, or complex and/or high-priority products in accordance with business goals and objectives, FDA regulations, PhRMA guidelines, and company policy. This position will be located at the East Hanover site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will require 20% travel as defined by the business (domestic and/or international). Please note that this role would not provide relocation, and only local candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:- Serves as a primary regulatory advertising and promotion reviewer for assigned products on Materials Approval Process ("MAP") teams, including launch products or indications, or complex and/or high-priority products
- Liaison with OPDP regarding advertising and promotion for assigned products, including products approved under Subpart H. Establishes strong and positive working relationship with OPDP reviewers. Manages OPDP queries on assigned products.
- Applies regulatory and therapeutic area knowledge to Brand Team's objectives and initiatives to develop solutions to complex US promotional issues. Ensures regulatory compliance while effectively managing business risks.
- Maintains awareness of competitive activities by monitoring major US Medical meetings where assigned therapeutic area products are promoted.
- Prepares complaint letters to OPDP.
- Conducts reviews of materials to be used by medical personnel in discussions with customers.
- Serves as Regulatory Affairs representative on cross-functional committees, task forces, etc.
- Monitors US regulatory promotional environment by reviewing regulatory promotional guidelines, untitled and warning letters to pharmaceutical companies published by OPDP, and by attendance of major FDLI, DIA and other industry/FDA meetings.
- Collaborates with other Regulatory Affairs colleagues to provide input to study designs or US label regarding feasibility of promoting potential data/claims.
- Participates in US labeling negotiations and FDA meetings as necessary.
- Ensures that changes in US Prescribing Information are reflected in current promotions and advertising.
- BS Degree or equivalent. Advanced degree desirable (MS, PhD, PharmD, or JD)
- Minimum 5 years regulatory experience in the pharmaceutical space
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of US regulations for drug promotion/advertising and US labeling
- Experience in leading activities for OPDP submissions, including time of first use submissions, requests for advisory comments, and 30-day submissions for Subpart H products
- Experience with regulatory activities involved in a product or indication launch
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret efficacy and safety data
- Understanding of business goals of the involved business franchise, marketing concepts and tools
- Must perform independently with strong negotiation and decision-making skills
- Must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills associated with problem review and inquiries and proven ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems
Novartis Compensation Summary:
The salary for this position is expected to range between $176,400 and $27,600 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.

+ Responsible for compliance with promotional material submissions to FDA on Form 2253
+ Monitor the external environment to advise product teams on evolving regulatory requirements related to product and disease state communications
+ Maintain vigilance with respect to FDA promotional enforcement activities; provide stakeholders with updates on a regular basis; in partnership with management, provide guidance to stakeholders with respect to impact of enforcement activities on the company policies.
+ Ability to identify process improvement for promotional review activities that would enable the establishment of portfolio wide standardization of policies
+ Ability to cross train across products/indications to ensure continuous Regulatory A&P support is provided to stakeholders
+ Collaboration with Regulatory Therapeutic Area Leads to review key marketing application summary documents and study reports
+ With guidance from management, help provide input during review cycles to reflect commercialization objectives and messages in the submission documents/reports that are submitted to health authorities

**To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:**
+ A minimum of 2 to 3 years within regulatory affairs, preferably within advertising and promotion or completion of a Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program focused on Regulatory Affairs, including Advertising and Promotion with 1-year work related experience
+ Requires advanced scientific degree (i.e., Masters, PharmD, Ph.D) or at minimum, a Bachelor's degree (BS) from an accredited college or university in Life Sciences.
+ Knowledge of regulations, guidelines and precedents related to pharmaceutical product development and marketing, with focus in the area of advertising and promotion
+ Experience with pharmaceutical products required, biologics experience is a plus
+ Experience working directly/indirectly with the FDA, specifically OPDP/APLB is preferred
+ Ability to review promotional materials and interact with FDA OPDP/APLB and support launch products/campaigns, while maintaining excellent written/verbal communication skill when giving strategic regulatory advice
+ Ability to support global promotional review, understanding of clinical trial recruitment materials, and familiarity with labeling regulations is desirable
