Skytech, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Aviation Technician to join our team in Chamblee, GA. This position is a vital part of a crew responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations on aircraft in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Job Summary
The Aviation Technician will carry out assigned tasks safely and accurately, using appropriate parts and documentation procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work closely within a team performing ground runs, updating aircraft databases, completing IFR certifications, and maintaining the highest standard of safety and compliance.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Member of a three-to-four-person crew. Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or installations on aircraft as directed by Team Leader
- Responsible for completing assigned tasks in a safe and accurate manner
- Perform tasks using the appropriate parts, and in accordance with appropriate manufacturers instructions or as prescribed by team leader
- Maintain adherence to the operating parameters of the Skytech, Inc. Repair Station Manual
- Properly document work completed, parts removed, parts requested, or on-the-job training received
- Accountable for time expenditures on jobs in progress, with an accurate record of time worked shown daily on timecard
- Maintain working knowledge of current airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and the like
- Promote company policy
- Promote team concept within team and within company
- Provide own toolbox and professional quality tools as necessary to perform the work
- AMT must be able to properly complete paperwork associated with the assigned tasks including work orders, tags, timecards, parts requests, and training forms. Perform ground runs to check aircraft systems pre & post inspection
- Perform avionics duties including installations & systems troubleshooting
- Update all aircraft databases as required
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate; Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
- Minimum 2 years performing general maintenance duties on PC-12 and PC-24 or similar aircraft
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and work in restricted spaces
- Ability to use hand tools and specialized test equipment
- Proficiency in general computer use and MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Work overtime or off-site as needed.

Job Description
The A&P Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on customer aircraft. This role requires performing and documenting all work in accordance with appropriate manuals and regulations.
+ Located in Windsor Locks CT.
+ Pays up to $51/hr + $75/ addition weekly per diem dependent on years of corporate aircraft mechanic experience
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
+ Document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations.
+ Operate ground support equipment as required.
+ Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
+ Assist with fueling and de-fueling of aircraft.
+ Assist with engine removal and installation.
+ Assist with aircraft component repair.
**Essential Skills**
+ A&P License
+ Minimum 4-5 years of experience working on aircraft OR 1-2 years working on corporate jets.
+ Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
+ Effective communication skills in both written and verbal form.
+ Ownership of a basic set of hand tools with inventory and control capability.
+ Ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.
+ Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays.
+ Capability to work in seasonal or inclement weather conditions.
+ Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, if applicable.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience on corporate jet aircraft, military fixed-wing, or commercial aircraft is preferred.
+ Basic PC skills are preferred.

**Work Environment**
The position operates on a second shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, and a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, working 36 hours over three 12-hour days. The role requires the ability to work in various weather conditions and maintain flexibility for unscheduled work hours.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is 40.00 - 45.00/hr.
