General Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled ETL Developer / Data Engineer who will be responsible for developing ETL solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). This role requires experience in designing data pipelines, SQL programming, stored procedures, data modeling, ETL, API Integration, and PowerBI Dashboards.
Essential Functions:
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages to facilitate efficient data extraction from disparate data sources including Rest APIs, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract, transform, and load data from various data sources including API integrations.
• Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and propose appropriate solutions.
• Implement data cleansing, transformation, and validation rules to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.
• Collaborate with data engineers, database administrators, and enterprise architects to design and maintain data models and database schemas.
• Create/Maintain design related artifacts including data models, mapping documents, architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and technical specifications.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of SQL queries, ETL processes, and Database objects (tables, views, indexes) to ensure efficient data processing and system reliability.
• Troubleshoot, Monitor, Notify, and Resolve data-related issues, including data integration failures, data quality problems, and performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor daily ETL jobs and data loads and proactively resolve issues to ensure maximum uptime/availability of data for reporting.
• Test and prepare ETL processes for deployment to production and non-production environments.
• Support system and acceptance testing including the development or refinement of test plans.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and experience in designing and developing ETL processes including extracting data from API(s).

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SQL.
• Lead the ETL development team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries and ensure high performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL process issues, ensuring data integrity.
• Prepare and maintain necessary documentation.
• Participate in regular SAFe agile ceremonies, such as program increment planning, daily standups, team backlog grooming, iteration retrospectives, team demos and inspect & adapt, etc.
• Keep up with the committed features and stories in the team backlog.
• Work with the project manager/scrum master to remove impediments.
• Act as a proactive problem solver, initiating improvements and enhancements to data processes.
• Attend whiteboard sessions at client site as needed.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Expert-level SQL development skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams or projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive self-starter who can effectively manage priorities and deadlines.
