Position is for a Quality Specialist (Quality Control Auditor). Responsible for the design, development and implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of company products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to detail and assembly processes of mechanical and electrical activities. Further investigates the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans. Interfaces with engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Serves as the primary interface to customers and supplier for quality related matters.

Essential Functions:
+ The candidate filling this position will be responsible for conformity inspections of assemblies and detail parts to ensure compliance with design and technical data.
+ Compliance audits of requirements related to company procedures, DCMA 8210.1, AS9100, and FAA regulations.
+ Position has possibility of working off-shift hours/OT and/or weekends and may require up to 10% travel to off-site locations in support of program needs.
+ Perform in-process audits to ensure compliance requirements of AS9100 and DCMA 8210.1 instructions.
+ Perform Investigations related to customer escapes, concerns, or other significant quality issues to include root cause determinations and preventative actions.
+ Candidate must have experience in Mechanical fabrication (CNC machining, sheetmetal and assembly modification)inspection to include experience with Blueprint and Technical Specifications.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
+ Must be able to obtain US DoD security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
+ Intimately familiar with FAA documentation and Regulations (CFR 14).

- Communicates, trains, guides and coaches employees to achieve operational initiatives that optimize team efforts in the manufacturing of high quality products.
- Evaluates interpersonal skills, provides feedback and recommends as well as methods to improve interpersonal communications.
- Schedules and assigns personnel to work according to the demand of the manufacturing schedules.
- Continually assesses the limitations of equipment capacity and materials supply to directly make adjustments to personal for optimization of manufacturing output.
- Assesses each employee’s abilities and skills to match with capabilities required for each area of the manufacturing floor.
- Continuously monitors and tracks output, manufacturing processes, labour efficiencies, direct operating expenses and quality indicators for assigned cost centers.
- Measures performance and quality.
- Drives positive results in operational Key Process Indicators.
- Establishes and builds working relationships with other departmental personnel, such as Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Planning and Quality to meet production schedules.
- Meets regularly on a formal basis with Management Team to review production results and improvement priorities.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-3 years’ related work experience
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Labour Laws.
- Conflict Resolution Management and Time Management.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, problem solving, teamwork interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Effective use of technology, instruments, tools and information systems.
- Ability to seek a team approach.
- Ability to give guidance and direction as required.
- Ability to set direction, make decisions and oversee the line with little to no direct supervision.
- Solid computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite.
- Availability to support/operate on off shifts as required.
- Ability to deliver business results both independently and through others.
