Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.

Standing

Most tasks are performed from a standing position.

Walking

For short distances for short durations.
Surfaces include ceramic tile bricks with linoleum in some food process areas. Height of work surfaces is between 36 and 48.

Sitting

Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.

Lifting

Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more and are unloaded by the team member using a hand truck.
Deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds with dimensions of up to 3' x 1.5'.
Cases are usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72 high.

Carrying

Large cans, weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces, are carried from the workstation to storage shelves.
Occasionally, pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds is carried from the storage room to the front of the store.
Trays of pizza dough are carried three at a time over short distances, and weigh approximately 12 pounds per tray.

Pushing

To move trays which are placed on dollies. A stack of trays on a dolly is approximately 24 - 30 and requires a force of up to 7.5 pounds to push.
Trays may also be pulled.

Climbing

Team members must infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance.

Position Summary
The Commercial Kitchen Assistant supports the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared, served, and cleaned up in a safe, organized, and welcoming environment. This role is essential in providing nourishment and comfort to families who call our House their "home away from home." The ideal candidate has experience working in a kitchen setting, values teamwork, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and serving in a commercial kitchen.
+ Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety guidelines.
+ Wash, sanitize, and properly store kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes.
+ Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food and supplies.
+ Work with volunteers and staff to support meal programs for families.
+ Ensure kitchen and dining areas remain safe, organized, and welcoming.
+ Support special events or meal programs as needed.
Qualifications
+ Prior experience working in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or food service setting preferred.
+ Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
+ Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
+ Strong teamwork and communication skills.
+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Schedule
+ Pay Range: 15 - 21/hour (commensurate with experience).
+ Part-time or full-time opportunities may be available.
+ Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician I plays a key role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of our House. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, addressing repair needs, and supporting building operations. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set in basic maintenance and a willingness to contribute to the comfort and well-being of our families, staff, and volunteers.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
+ Conduct inspections of the property and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
+ Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
+ Assist with upkeep of indoor and outdoor areas, including grounds, parking areas, and common spaces.
+ Collaborate with housekeeping and other staff to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
+ Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
+ Ensure all work meets safety, health, and compliance standards.
+ Support special projects and events as needed.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
