Job Description:
As the Secuirty Services Supervisor, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
- Supervising the day-to-day operations of the Security Services team across the campus.
- Preparing and approving team member schedules considering the needs and functions of the department and coordinating team member request for time off (PTO).
- Ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts, which may include partial or full shift coverage for call offs or PTO.
- Coordinating with other departments for special event needs such as extra security coverage, placing of traffic control devices, etc.
- Providing one-on-one follow-up sessions with all Security Services team members. Preparing and conducting annual evaluations for the Security team members.
- Reviewing and following up on security log reports and distributing accordingly.
- Managing Security reporting application (WorxHub)
- Keeping current first-aid/CPR training certifications. Training Security team to maintain compliance with policies.
- Supervising and coordinating internal mail service.
- Ensuring and conducting effective vehicle and foot patrols throughout campus and respond to villager or team member assistance calls.
- Ensuring security video monitoring system and door access management applications are functional and operating properly. Working with Facility Maintenance and Information Services to address any issues that may arise.
- Maintaining badge access system for all team members, visitors, vendors and contractors.
- Responding to villager and Village Health Services assistance calls and assist with EMS responders as necessary.
- Scheduling and conducting periodic training for patrol team members, implement best security practices and communication protocols. Scheduling department orientation for new team members and cross training.
- Assisting the Director of Safety and Security with disaster drills and emergency preparedness assessments, education and training.
- Meeting and interacting with residents. Playing a part in Emergency Preparedness education and training with residents.
- Supporting local and state law enforcement agencies as needed with investigations, including but not limited to providing security report information, security video upon request and testimony as needed.
- Working with Director of Safety and Security to periodically assess security coverage needs and security risk for the entire organization.
- Monitoring and enforcing traffic and pedestrian safety and parking lot assignment.
- Responding to all alarms, including but not limited to on campus 911, SARA, fire and door alarms.
- Attending continuing education opportunities to keep certifications current and take advantage of additional learning opportunities.
- Participating in organizational training, committees, special events, and fundraisers, as requested.
- Presenting departmental reports as needed to Director of Safety and Security, Village Council and Villager meetings as scheduled or as necessary.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Previous Supervisory experience preferred
- Security specific training and proven leadership experience in organizational or campus security.
- This position requires general understanding of security & patrol operations, including operations of multi-faceted electronic security and life safety systems., with a general understanding of various types/levels of fire safety and security systems.
- CPR/AED and first aid certification required or achieve certification within first 6 months of employment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
- Must be available for on-call responsibilities during emergencies or critical incidents.

Compensation
Estimated Pay Range: The estimated pay range for this position is USD $80,000/Yr. - USD $88,000/Yr. This is an exempt role.

The Director, Infrastructure Security Services will be a key member of the new Versant Cyber organization. This individual is responsible for protecting the organization's foundational systems and communication platforms. This role will define the design, implementation, and management of systems, processes, and teams that protect against cyber threats and ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical IT assets. This individual reports directly to the VP, Identity and Security Services and will interact with various key stakeholders within the Cyber organization and drive relationship management across the Versant business areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Security Services will lead the design, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise-wide security capabilities to protect the applications, data, networks, broadcast platforms, and systems of a leading cable and media company. Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and vigilant security guard to join our team. The security officer’s duties will be to guarantee the safety and security of our premises and personnel.
This role involves conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to incidents promptly. You will be the first line of defense against unauthorized access and potential threats, ensuring a safe and secure environment for everyone.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols: Perform scheduled and random patrols to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities. Stay alert for any unusual behavior, unlocked doors, or signs of forced entry, and report findings immediately. Conduct a mobile patrol of the outer perimeter of the property, noting any issues or unauthorized vehicles.
- ️Monitor and control access: Oversee entry points by verifying the identity of individuals attempting to gain access. Use identification checks, visitor logs, and access control systems to admit only authorized personnel.
- ️Operate and monitor surveillance equipment: Continuously monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment. Respond to any unusual activities captured by these systems and certify that all equipment is functioning as it should.
- ️Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances: React immediately to alarms by assessing the situation and determining the appropriate response. Investigate the cause of the alarm, contact emergency services & management as needed, and neutralize threats.
- ️Assist employees and visitors: Announce visitors to the receiving party. Greet and direct all visitors, ensuring no one wanders the premises without an escort. Provide help and guidance to employees and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. This includes giving directions, providing information about the premises, and assisting with any security-related issues.
- ️Prepare and submit incident reports: Document all incidents, security breaches, and disturbances in comprehensive reports. Ensure that reports are submitted promptly and kept on file for future reference and analysis. Maintain daily logs on-site.
- Uphold and enforce company policies and security protocols.
Required skills:
- Keen observation skills: Possess a sharp eye for detail to monitor surroundings capably, identifying potential security threats or irregularities.
- ️Strong verbal and written communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, the public, and law enforcement, ensuring accurate information relay and reporting.
