With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu's only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women's center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state's first retina center. Responsibilities

Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.

  • Perform proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
  • Investigate, document and manage security incidents and hazards.
  • Maintain knowledge/follow policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans.
  • May facilitate planned drills and simulations.
  • Train and mentor staff on environment of care and emergency management processes and procedures.
  • Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.
  • Provide for traffic and parking enforcement within campus area and participates in foot and vehicle patrols
  • Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  • For those security officers who are responsible for operating a vehicle, operate in a safe and
    responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic or parking violations.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Law Enforcement preferred.
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc preferred.
  • Security Professional preferred.
  • Security Guard preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences
  • Security experience preferred.
  • De-escalation and communication skills a plus.
