Established in 2020, the Riot Singapore Studio is Riots second international game development studio. Our mission is to scale Riots games to hyper-serve players. As a Manager, Sound Design for the League of Legends team, you will be directly responsible for the production of high quality audio content of multiple products. Your consistent high standards and attention to detail will ensure that the content your team produces meets the very high expectations of our players. Youll manage a high performing remote team, and using your broad knowledge of the creativity, craft and tech of games production, support and direct them through the process of making awesome stuff.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the creative and technical quality of audio content for League of Legends PC, ensuring it is compelling, high-quality, and bug-free

Collaborate closely with Rioters across teams, regions & disciplines to align audio goals with broader product initiatives, stakeholder needs, and efficient production practices

Guide the ideation, conception, design, and implementation of sound design, voice-over, and music that supports and enhances gameplay and aligns with product goals

Manage a remote, multidisciplinary team of world-class audio professionals by sourcing AAA talent, providing mentorship, and developing their craft through training and feedback

Set and uphold the bar for audio excellence, reviewing deliverables, directing day-to-day activities, and ensuring alignment with the game's vision and evolving player expectations

Create and execute audio plans and proposals for new features or major content, including timelines, resource needs, quality targets, and delivery milestones

Design, record (studio and field), edit, and implement sound effects for characters, environments, and features using industry-standard tools, techniques, and middleware

Drive the creative use of sound and VO to support gameplay clarity, narrative goals, and esports integrity

Manage outsourced audio content partners and remote team members, ensuring timely delivery and integration of high-quality assets

Operate autonomously when needed, proactively solving complex challenges with creative and efficient solutions.

Required Qualifications

5+ years experience developing sound for game, or shipped multiple AAA titles

Expertise in the holistic game audio process (Sound Design, Voice Over, Music Implementation, Technology, Player Experience, etc.)

Expertise in game engine technical implementation and Wwise audio middleware.

Experience with sound design creation tools (DAW, Izotope, Waves, Melda, Native Instruments, etc) and techniques

Experience in setting up sound studios, audio hardware, and software setup

Experience with voice over processing tools and techniques

Experience giving thorough direction and delivering timely, clear feedback

A strong communicator and able to convey abstract/sophisticated ideas in a concise way, in English or in Mandarin

Desired Qualifications

Proven experience leading/mentoring teams and individuals

Growth minded and motivated towards teaching, enabling, and coaching other sound designers

Familiarity with League of Legends - the game, its characters, its products, its players and community

Experience teaching audio, on-line or in person

What are your responsibilities?

- Design AV signal flows

- Use AutoCAD to create AV design diagrams

- Work with existing architecture and electrical framework to design AV rooms.

- Keep up to date with new AV integration technology

As Project Manager you will lead and facilitate the development of our future audio products for the professional market. You will manage cross-functional projects from business case to production within a hands-on global environment. Our project timelines vary from 3 24 months, with Project Managers overseeing 1-4 projects at a time. The total project portfolio for the Professional Solutions organization is approximately 50 projects per year. In this role you will help us become stronger and more efficient in our way of developing products in-house by forming strong internal partnerships, managing budgets, and guiding the project teams to achieve timeline goals.

What You Will Do

  • Lead cross-functional, multi-site teams through the full new product development (NPD) lifecycle, from product concept definition phase to mass production, while adhering to gate stage documentation and defined product development model.
  • Develop Gantt schedules using MS Project, including the development of a work breakdown schedules (WBS), resource allocation, critical path generation, and project tracking.
  • Prepare and manage project development and capital budgets including prototypes, samples, outside services.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks through planned strategies. Employ negotiation and conflict resolution skills to maintain team alignment and project momentum.
  • Develop a responsibility matrix and team charter to communicate program requirements to all team members clearly. Chair team meetings on an ongoing basis to obtain project feedback and present status updates to the project management office (PMO) and management steering committee.
  • Coordinate development activities in all of Harman's various departments, including engineering (HW/FW), operations, product management, software development, and manufacturing.
  • Partner with the project excellence team to provide updates on product budget costs, resources, and timelines through internal workforce management systems (Workfront).
  • Regularly visit our internal manufacturing facilities to enhance new build processes and ensure the production of a high-quality product.

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager working with engineering teams, preferably on acoustic or technical products in a transnational company.
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts and practices.
  • Deep understanding of the new product lifecycle development process.
  • Analytical and proactive decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including working with senior management teams.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced and multitasking environment.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Engineering degree (BS or MS) is a plus.
  • Professional project management certification (i.e., PMP) is preferred.
  • Passion and experience working with acoustic products is preferred.
