A large global retailer is looking for a Technical Writer to help create and centralize the training program for a centralized dispatch center. They will be coordinating with director level management, senior managers, and on-field technicians themselves to gather the information. This opportunity is made for someone looking for a creative outlet and a chance to create a successful training program from scratch.
This Technical Writer will create and refine standard operating procedures ("SOPs"), knowledgebase ("KB") articles, and other required content as agreed in conjunction with Customer to improve Analyst efficiency interacting with field technicians and automated alarms and support the FM Operations Manager with overall program execution via technical documentation. Responsibilities include:
- Building process guides and coordinating with Customer to document knowledge content
- Document Creation of SOPs and KB (knowledgebase) articles
- Translate technical or complex processes into user-friendly documentation
- Ensure consistency in structure and language across documents
- Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, product managers, and support teams to gather- information
- Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect process or system changes
- Organize content logically for easy navigation and retrieval

**What You'll Do**
+ Partner with engineering, product, and UX teams to deliver clear, user-focused documentation on time.
+ Write, edit, and publish original content - and help peers raise the bar through thoughtful reviews and mentorship.
+ Drive consistency and quality by applying best practices, standards, and modern documentation techniques.
+ Evaluate projects for user impact and define the right mix of content to meet customer needs.
+ Identify trends, streamline workflows, and champion improvements that make our documentation smarter and more accessible.
+ Manage end-to-end documentation workflows, ensuring everything we publish is accurate, polished, and easy to use.
**What You'll Bring**
+ 2+ years of experience in user assistance, technical writing, or related fields.
+ Experience working with **Oxygen XML Editor**
+ **Health or Life Sciences industry experience**
+ A bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Instructional Design, or a similar discipline.
+ Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
+ A knack for simplifying complex concepts and explaining them with clarity.
+ Familiarity with XML, HTML, CSS, and modern documentation tools (Confluence, Jira, etc.).
+ Experience writing for a global audience using industry style guides (like Microsoft's).
+ Passion for learning, collaboration, and improving how people interact with technology.
