**Job Summary:** The **Director, Sales** **Home Depot Entities** (United States and Canada) leads and directs the sales team to achieve short and long-range strategic objectives through successful planning and execution of sales strategies for a channel. Responsible for the entire range of sales planning and development, sales promotion, and sales activities. Drives market/field/end user input back to the organization to improve positioning with programs, product development, and end user support.
**Major Responsibilities:**
+ Drives the market/field/end user input back to the organization to improve positioning with programs, product development and end user support. Establishes and implements short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Achieves margin objectives by providing input on pricing strategy for all products and markets with the goal of achieving margin objectives established. Tracks specific customer profitability, promotional allowances and terms to meet the company's objectives.
+ Grows sales of existing and new products through strengthened account relationships, including penetration into customers' management and executive levels.
+ Works cross-functionally to integrate the market development strategies into overall marketing and branding strategies and activities.
+ Establishes and maintains critical industry contacts representing the company to key customers.
+ Plans for and oversees sales meetings, trade shows and hosts site-visits for key business partners.
+ Incorporates Generac's customer focused values and concepts of quality into the determination, communication, review and continuous improvement of the customer support functions and planning process.
+ Reviews performance metrics, reports and develops action plans to ensure performance targets are met through the continuous improvement process.
+ Conducts monthly operational reviews on key customer support issues, performance reports, and competitive pricing and promotion analysis.
+ Provides strategic and operational input to Product Development and Engineering, controls budgets for responsible areas, and ensure that customer goals are met.
+ Designs and directs the work of the functional area. Selects, coaches, and develops the team, setting objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate the team. Manages organizational talent through performance management, succession planning and development. Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved.
+ Develops and manages sales and operating budgets.
+ Execute new innovation and products within the Home Depot Channels
**Minimum Job Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising sales teams
+ 5 years of Home Depot Experience
+ Up to 50% travel and valid Driver's License required

+ Clear understanding and knowledge of the internal processes and systems to support the accounts, proven business planning, budgeting, and P&L skills

What You'll Do
As a Store Associate you will be responsible for
Delivering an Exceptional Guest Experience
• Provide friendly, prompt service at the register or self-checkout
• Suggest additional products to enhance guest purchases
• Address guest concerns with urgency and involve managers as needed
• Foster a team-oriented, respectful work environment
Help Keep Our Stores Stocked & Fresh
• Ensure food and beverage items are available and up to quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas and follow all safety regulations
• Restock shelves, coolers, and display areas as needed
Keep It Clean & Organized
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment inside and out
• Complete regular cleaning tasks to ensure a great experience for guests
• Assist in inventory management and restocking
What We're Looking For
• High School Diploma or GED (or in progress)
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment is a plus
• A team player who takes the initiative and enjoys working with people
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending and standing
• May be required to obtain and maintain food handler or alcohol server permits, depending on state/local regulations

Responsibilities:

Customer Service

  • Greets and interacts with new and regular guests in a genuine manner and suggests products that complement purchase to enhance the guest experience.
  • Rings up guests on cash register and balances cash and inventory transactions.
  • Provides prompt, efficient, and courteous service.
  • Resolves and when necessary escalates guest complaints.
  • Focuses on collaboration and teamwork as a part of the store team; works well with the general public.
Clean, Safe, Fast & Full
  • Cleans in and outside of store including but not limited to sweeping the parking lot, mopping floors, emptying trash, cleaning rest rooms, filling water and towels at the pump, replacing pay-at-the-pump receipt paper, etc).
  • Stocks shelves and coolers
  • Maintains food and beverage areas with freshly prepared ready-to-eat food and beverages.
  • Adheres to all RaceTrac, federal, state and local food safety regulations.
  • Updates prices and posts new signage to reflect monthly promotions and sales opportunities.
  • Possesses the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the job.
  • Keeps gasoline price sign up-to-date outside of store in accordance with the method of that location.
