Join to apply for the Corporate Strategy role at Stripe .

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About The Team

Corporate Strategy is a small, high-leverage team with a mandate to maximize Stripe’s enterprise value. Whether we’re evaluating net-new opportunity areas, investigating existential threats, or finding ways to unlock value in the existing business, we approach problems with rigor, nuance, and intellectual humility.

What you’ll do

This is not your typical corporate strategy team. While we partner closely with leadership, we don’t run the company planning processes, and we’re not internal consultants who primarily take on commissioned analysis. We develop independent points of view that have real teeth: strategy that is practical and connected with the rest of the company, not recommendations from an ivory tower. We operate horizontally – not embedded within any product or functional area – and we take a multidisciplinary approach to problems that incorporates product thinking and analytical angles.

Responsibilities

  • Help Stripe decide where to deploy its resources to maximize long-term strategic value

  • Tackle hard, ambiguous questions with rigor and independence, owning projects from problem definition to final recommendation

  • Cut through complexity to identify opportunities and risks across Stripe’s products, customers, and markets

  • Partner closely with teams across the company to influence their direction

  • Evaluate whitespace business, product, and partnership opportunities in adjacent markets

  • Drive strategic decisions by crisply framing a problem space, evaluating potential paths, and surfacing key tradeoffs – enabling Stripe to move quickly

  • Work with Stripe’s leadership team to ensure the company is positioned to execute on its strategy in the near- and long-term

  • Develop independent perspectives on forces shaping the business in the next five to ten years and the implications for Stripe's strategy

  • Nurture a community of strategists across the company

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum Requirements

  • You excel at hypothesis-driven problem solving using quantitative and qualitative approaches

  • You can look at problems from novel perspectives and distill clarifying insights that connect with wide audiences

  • You communicate extremely well and are able to develop compelling narratives

  • You are low ego and have a proven track record for working well across a wide range of people, teams and with external partners

  • You are curious about markets, competition, and how companies build durable strategies

  • You have experience taking holistic ownership of problems

  • You have multiple years of experience in strategy consulting, investing, or a comparable role in high-growth tech companies

  • You have a unique perspective or experience that will complement the existing team

  • You rolled your eyes just a little bit when you heard corporate strategy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical background or affinity (CS, engineering, etc.)

  • Experience as a PM, GM or a founder

  • Knowledge of the payments or fintech industry

Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

Work arrangements

In-office expectations: Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Working remotely: A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $270,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (OTE) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.

Job Description

Overview

Associate, Corporate Strategy role at Adobe .

Our Company — Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe’s all about. We give everyone—from emerging artists to global brands—everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We’re passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.

The Opportunity

The Corporate Strategy team works closely with Adobe’s top executives and our three business units (the Creative Cloud, Document Cloud and Experience Cloud) to ensure that the company stays on its fast growth trajectory. We have played an active role in some of Adobe’s boldest and most strategic decisions, such as its well-publicized transition to cloud, and its expansion into a leadership position in Digital Marketing, and Adobe's positioning in the market around Generative AI.

Today, Adobe is at the forefront of digital experiences worldwide – be it by giving creatives everything they need to design amazing new content, or by enabling global enterprises in their digital transformation and the creation of experience businesses. This strategy has translated into exceptional financial performance and stock price appreciation, even within the Tech sector.

What You’ll Do

As an Associate, you will join a highly entrepreneurial team, including alumni from management consulting firms and experts in digital media and marketing. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of strategic topics, such as developing product strategies, assessing the impact of technological trends such as GenAI, analyzing the competitive landscape, determining Adobe’s future strategic positioning, and crafting a perspective on market adjacencies, including the strategies to pursue (e.g., build, buy, or partner). You will drive projects and cross-functional initiatives aimed at accelerating Adobe's long-term growth. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to support senior executives across the business as they tackle their most critical challenges, providing you with invaluable insights into their decision-making processes. This position provides unparalleled senior executive exposure, and is often the path to unique operational and general management roles throughout the company.

At Adobe, you will be immersed in an exceptional work environment that is recognized throughout the world by numerous “best places to work” awards. You will also be surrounded by colleagues who are committed to helping each other grow through our unique Check-In approach where ongoing feedback flows freely. If you’re looking to build your career, Adobe’s the place for you. Every day, we get to work with some of the most creative, analytical, authentic and inspiring people in the world.

What You Need To Succeed
  • 2-4 years of experience at a management consulting firm or within an equivalent corporate strategy group
  • Experience operating in a digital/consumer internet or SaaS environment; prior understanding of digital marketing or digital advertising highly desired
  • Proven track record of leading transformational change with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, while staying focused on the big picture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presence in front of senior executives
  • Creative thinker with a bias for action
  • Relentless but relationship-driven – ensuring that debates and discussions not only lead to good outcomes for all involved, but also set a positive tone for cross-functional teams
Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $77,500 - $156,100 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
