About The Role
The Project Director will be responsible for the overall management of customer deployments in the Federal Government vertical. This position will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to strategic deployments, managing the customer and customer executives, establishing project governance, and managing deployment communication within Workday.

The Project Director will also work with the Services Sales teams, Consulting Managers, and Workday Resource Management Team to determine appropriate staffing plans, assemble project teams and resolve resource challenges to successfully deliver Workday projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of projects, including Workday primed and partner primed projects
  • Manage budget, timeline, scope and risks for assigned portfolio of projects
  • Monitor project forecasts, and compliance with departmental policies on project governance
  • Act as trusted advisor for the customer's executive leadership team, including participation in Steering Committee meetings
  • Work with Resource Management and Consulting Managers to staff project teams and act as escalation point for project staffing issues
  • Assist with sales to provide expertise on deployment approaches, input into project staffing plans and SOW's
  • Conduct project assessments on strategic projects
  • Provide advisory services on strategic projects
  • Review project change orders to ensure they are adequately documented and executed
  • Collaborate across projects in the portfolio to help bring consistency and delivery excellence across the business
  • Lead internal initiatives that support practice development
  • Mentor Engagement Managers through continuous coaching on Workday methodology, processes and policies

About You
Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional services experience
  • 5+ years of experience with multiple Cloud/ SaaS ERP business areas, including: HCM, Payroll, Planning and/or Financials

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience (8+ years) working with clients, preferably in the Federal Government, State & Local Government or other relevant industries
  • Expert at building deep trust and influencing at the C-level
  • Demonstrated expertise in Workday's project methodology and Product Suite HCM, Payroll, Planning and/or Financials highly preferred
  • Project Management experience
  • Proven ability to effectively manage service delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction through streamlined processes, efficient resource allocation, and a focus on meeting expectations
  • Exceptional relationship management skills are crucial, with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues to foster collaboration, loyalty, and a positive work environment

Project management approach in‐keeping with Federal and industry best practices is developed, implemented, and maintained for planning, organizing, managing, documenting, and closeout of all task orders awarded throughout the life of this requirement.

Process all travel requests promptly and efficiently in accordance with the terms of this contract and ASPR and BARDA travel procedures.

  • Track all travel at all levels for reporting. Make every effort to maximize cost savings for all travel executed on behalf of USG.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or higher / in Project/Program management, Business Management, Public Administration or related fields is a must

Additionally requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant on experience in managing Federal contracts of similar type, scale, and scope.

No additional consideration will be provided to candidates that have PMP certifications, as extensive and successful work experience is of greater value than an industry pass/fail certification.

The Senior Manager, Government Accounts will report to the Director, Government Accounts and is responsible for recommending and implementing government contracting and pricing strategies for vaccines, managing contract negotiations while executing approved strategies, and all aspects of account management for and in compliance with various government agencies/contracts, including the calculation and remittance of all fees/rebates for government contracts. This role will also support the Director, Government Accounts with various internal/external reporting requirements and ad hoc projects relating to government accounts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the Director, Government Accounts in the development and submission of all vaccine government bids, contract execution, and account management for government accounts, including CDC, US Military and Dept of Veterans Affairs. This includes strategy development, negotiations, oversight and implementation of contract strategy, terms, conditions, bid submission, contract negotiations, demand management, field communications, reporting requirements (both internal and external) of prebooks/shipping/compliance reports, and performance while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and all applicable laws.

  • Work closely with the Pricing department to implement price changes and monitor competitive intelligence in order to react and implement price changes on contracts, if necessary. Must understand the implications of any proposed strategies on the terms of government contracts as strategies are developed and presented to leadership. Communicate appropriately with the government agencies as strategies are approved and implemented.

  • Responsible for all government contracts’ fees/rebates calculations and payments utilizing multiple internal and external reporting systems, including quarterly payment processing of the VA FSS Sales and Industrial Fee (IFF) and Medicare Part D Manufacturer Discount Program.

  • Day-to day operations/decisions include account management, government contract eligibility and customer account problem resolution.

  • Prepare business cases and recommendations for review by various groups and individuals, including leadership, as appropriate.

  • Represent government accounts on various internal stakeholder calls, including Influenza Core Team.

  • Key point of contact for responding to all government contract related internal/external audit requests by the required deadlines.

  • Support the Director, Government Accounts on various account management activities, including CDC Flu and Mainline contract reporting requirements and ad hoc special projects.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree preferred

  • 3+ years of contract/account management

  • Strong negotiation, written/oral communication, organizational and analytical skills

  • High attention to detail and problem solving

  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams

  • Must be able to work independently, initiate and carry out multiple projects until completion

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple shifting priorities and delivering quality results under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare government contracting or sales

  • Familiarity with U.S. Government contracts

  • Experience working with various government agencies across a wide range of contracting types including CDC, VA, DoD, Tricare, and VA FSS

  • In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, MicroStrategy/Power BI, and RMGP/Model N from a master data user functionality (product management, contract setup & pricing, and adjudications & settlements)

  • Working knowledge and experience of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) for government procurement process

  • Internal/External Audit experience

  • Business skills and credibility to advise and influence various levels of leadership
