- At least 3 years of experience in roles such as 3D artist, designer, or generalist, demonstrating attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in ZBrush, Maya, and 3DMax.
- Familiarity with rendering environments and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
- Strong technical skills in 3D modeling, texturing, digital sculpting, and rendering.
- Knowledge of 3D printing technologies and designing for manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and create 3D models for earthwork quantification, budgeting, and construction planning in collaboration with estimating and project teams
    • Generate detailed quantity takeoffs and material estimates based on the developed model
    • Coordinate with the lead estimator to understand work sequencing
  • Develop and create 3D models for use in proposals and marketing materials
  • Use modeling to evaluate project concerns and recommend solutions to design issues
  • Manage and interpret data from various sources including drone imagery and point clouds to confirm pre-bid site conditions and track construction progress
  • Assist the estimating department with tasks to help acquire new projects:
    • Support vendor and subcontractor solicitation efforts
    • Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes
    • Identify risks and opportunities within plans and specifications
  • Support construction projects with periodic site visits to review needs and assist with additional modeling or construction planning
  • Assist with various ad hoc assignments
  • Provide leadership in promoting focus on Excellence in Quality and Safety
Qualifications
  • Prior experience with drafting software or technologies (SketchUp, SolidWorks, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar), or formal education focused on computer-aided drafting or modeling
  • Basic knowledge of at least one CAD program
  • Ability to prepare and manipulate spreadsheets and databases
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
  • Willingness to learn new software with mentorship and an increasing level of responsibility

Amentum is seeking a 3D CAD Modeler to join our team providing parametric modeling in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Integrated Topside Design.
Responsibilities includes the creation and updates of 3D models of U.S. Navy ships, support of shipboard laser 3D scanning, and the development of models used in supporting Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) modeling and analysis.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Minimum three (3) years of a demonstrated and established knowledge base and subject matter expertise performing parametric modeling using Autodesk Inventor Professional.
+ In lieu of Autodesk Inventor Professional, one or more of the following software: Solidworks; Catia; Pro-E; NX; Solidedge; will be acceptable with an Autodesk Inventor Essentials certificate of completion for the current release year.
+ Demonstrated 3D CAD model development experience in one or more of the following: ship design; 3D CAD model creation of commercial antennas, lights, or cameras; 3D CAD model development for ship hulls or hull components; 3D CAD model development for ship masts; 3D CAD model development for ship structure; 3D CAD model development for weapon systems; using technical data to create 3D CAD models; importing native CAD models into a CAD platform to reverse engineer and recreate a modifiable 3D solid model; creation and modification to 3D CAD assembly models with greater than 1000 components.
+ Demonstrated experience in the creation, modification, and maintenance of 2D drawings; Demonstrated experience with DoD; ASME, ANSI and other Military standards.

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer with 1-3 years of experience to join our Engineering and Information Management (Eng/IM) drafting team at a leading chemical refinery. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated designer to contribute to complex oil & gas projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise detailed drawings for refinery equipment, piping systems, instrumentation layouts, and structural components.
  • Support engineers and project teams by producing accurate and timely CAD deliverables.
  • Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with company and industry specifications.
  • Participate in field walkdowns and site visits to verify existing conditions as needed.
  • Assist in the organization and upkeep of the drawing database and document control systems.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of professional CAD drafting experience.
  • Prior experience drafting in oil & gas or chemical/refinery environments.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of MicroStation or other drafting tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of P&IDs, piping layouts, and isometric drawings.
  • Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and vendor data.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
