BASF/Chemetall ( , is the Surface Treatment global business unit of BASF's Coatings division, operating under the Chemetall brand, and a leading supplier of applied surface treatments worldwide. At BASF/Chemetall ( , we develop and manufacture tailor-made technology and system solutions for applied surface technology. Our products protect metals from corrosion, facilitate forming and treatment, prepare parts optimally for the painting process and ensure excellent coating adhesion. Our technologies and products are used in a variety of industries and end markets such as automotive, aerospace, aluminum finishing and metal forming.
The chemical treatment of metal surfaces is BASF/Chemetall ( core competence. The focus of our worldwide activities is on the development and implementation of customized technology and system solutions for surface treatment
As a **Customer Care Team Lead** you will provide guidance, alignment and direction to the customer service team. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage change effectively, and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment.
This person must be able to facilitate corporate and team objectives and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by driving continuous improvements. The ideal candidate will help develop an environment and culture that supports reaching departmental goals, provide necessary training to team members, communicate clear instructions and monitor procedures and policies are followed.
This role involves overseeing the team's daily activities, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining accurate and insightful reports for both internal and external metrics.
**As a Customer Service Team Leader (ECT-Chemetall), you create chemistry by.**
+ Fostering open and transparent communication within the team and with other departments.
+ Providing strong leadership and mentorship to team members, encouraging collaboration and excellence.
+ Implementing and overseeing change management initiatives to improve processes and enhance team efficiency.
+ Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics. Monitoring daily team activities and if needed take CSR responsibilities to maintain business continuity.
+ Developing and executing strategies to continuously improve customer service operations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
**If you have.**
- High School Diploma is required.
- Prior experience leading a team is preferred.
- Strong customer service experience is required.
- Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs; Advanced Excel skills is preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
- Proficient keyboarding skills (speed and accuracy) is required.
- Candidates must be resourceful and possess excellent follow-up skills to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong organizational and attention to detail skills is required.
- Hybrid Work Schedule: This position requires working in the office for a minimum of 3 days a week and 2 days working from home; for special situations you may be asked to come into the office.
