This job supports the Facilities Development and Facilities Management teams through the use of drafting and design technology by creating new drawings, updating existing drawings and life safety code plans, as well as compiling technical data bases. Education

- Coordinate all design and drafting functions for assigned projects

Phase Technologies is looking for a Drafting Technician who can generate manufacturing drawings, as well as provide support to the Mechanical and Process Engineering Team. This position requires a self-starter and someone who is able to work with little supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The functions essential to the job include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create mechanical drawings for sheet metal/conventionally machined parts
- Develop manufacturing assembly and training documentation
- Provide Engineering support to the shop floor
- Create and revise 3D solid models
- Assist in implementation of manufacturing changes/processes
- Assist in creating and managing engineering BOMs
- Build production prototypes and assist in test set up
- Maintain/update/revise existing drawings as required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities or must demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills and abilities.
- Associates degree in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Knowledge of SolidWorks required or other solid modeling software
- 1-2 years of drafting experience
