The incumbent independently compiles and presents recommendations to decision makers. The incumbent participates in special projects as assigned by the supervisor. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities : Organizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from a variety of syndicated data sources such as IRI, Nielsen, and POS to independently discern trends and provide insights-based recommendations. Optimization of SKU assortment by providing shopper, category, brand and/or customer insights to support a particular strategy or recommendations for customers. Provides thought leadership and appropriate insights and analytics as needed to enhance sales results. Assembles and presents insight findings and provide insights-driven recommendations. Crafts data-supported selling stories to drive sales. Provides analytic support to other internal partners, such as brand and field sales, by providing POS updates, line reviews, promotional reviews, and ad hoc special projects based on the need for in-depth analysis of data or other analytics services. Responds to customer requests from the assigned area regarding topics such as samples, supply, and order status. Ensures that data utilized is accurately formed, reported and error-free when devising data sets through careful review and refinement prior to running analytical tests. Develops, utilizes, and shares best practices to enhance functional efficiency and accuracy of findings and recommendations. Supports efforts to develop and enhance customer relationships. Persuades and influences internal teams and the customer to a different perspective through use of compelling data and insights. Complies with company policy and procedures at all times. Neurology Physician (1099 Contractor)
Location: James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, TNContract Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Hourly Pay: 175/hr plus compensation for call
Position Summary
The Neurologist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurology services to veterans at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. The physician will ensure delivery of high-quality care meeting or exceeding national standards and VA-specific requirements.
Schedule
- Normal clinic hours: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM.
- Off-hours: Night, weekend, and holiday call coverage required per contract schedule.
- Flexibility required to cover leave and emergent needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient and outpatient neurology consultations and ongoing management.
- Provide clinic services, averaging up to 30 patients per clinic day.
- Be available for on-call duties (weeknights, weekends, and holidays) as assigned.
- Participate in direct patient care (approximately 98% of time); administrative tasks (~2% of time).
- Document care in the VA electronic health record per VA, Joint Commission, and CMS guidelines.
- Supervise and educate health professions trainees in neurology care.
- Attend required staff meetings, participate in quality assurance activities, and complete mandatory VA training.
- Respond within 15 minutes to phone consults during on-call periods and report on-site within 60 minutes if needed.
- Ensure timely completion of medical records, consults, and communications of test results.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or DC.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Current DEA registration.
- Prior VA experience preferred.
- Ability to pass VA credentialing, privileging, and background clearance.
- Compliance with immunization and health requirements (TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza).
