CTG is seeking to fill a Data & Analytics opening for our client in San Francisco, CA.

Location: Remote

Duration: 7 months

Duties:

• Administer and maintain IBM Cognos Analytics environment (version 11.0 and up), including installation, configuration, security, and performance optimization

• Support Microsoft SQL Server databases (version 2012 and up), ensuring availability, performance, and security

• Manage and configure Microsoft Windows Server (2012 and up), including integration with related analytics tools

• Maintain Microsoft IIS for web-based analytics and dashboard delivery

• Monitor and support secure file transmissions between systems and vendors

• Troubleshoot system and user issues across the analytics platform

• Collaborate with stakeholders to support reporting, dashboarding, and data visualization requirements

• Assist with documentation, upgrades, and compliance for the analytics environment

Skills:

• Strong administration skills with IBM Cognos Analytics (11.0 and above)

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server database administration

• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration

• Familiarity with Microsoft IIS and web service deployment

• Understanding of secure file transmission protocols

• Solid SQL skills for troubleshooting, reporting, and performance tuning

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics platform administration

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale SQL Server environments

• Proven background in Windows Server management and web hosting using IIS

• Prior experience handling file transfers securely and efficiently

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $69.00 to $76.00 per hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines that follow ETL principles and business goals. Define data requirements, gather and mine large-scale structured and unstructured data, and validate data using various tools in the Big Data Environment. Support Data Scientists in data sourcing and preparation to visualize data and synthesize insights of commercial value. Perform data manipulation and queries using SQL independently. Develop scripts and applications in Python for complex data processing needs. Lead the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of emerging tools and processes for analytic data engineering to improve productivity. Partner with business analysts and solutions architects to develop technical architectures for strategic enterprise projects and initiatives. Implement statistical data quality procedures on new data sources by applying rigorous iterative data analytics. Advise, consult and coach other data and analytic professionals on data standards and practices. Create advanced data visualizations and dashboards in Tableau or in PowerBI. • Interface with data governance organizations and support as needed in the development or distribution of policies and governance related to data operations or the use of Artificial Intelligence. The Contractor shall advocate for SSC personnel and promote organizational decisions that enable an innovative workforce and the use of emergent technologies
• Perform tasks in support of data mining activities using a variety of techniques, to include anomaly detection, focusing on unusual data errors that may require additional validations.
• Perform data mining tasks to support dependency modeling, data clustering, classification, regression, and summarization.
• Perform tasks in support of data operations activities such as data extractions, data transformations, and data integration into various systems. The Contractor shall use appropriate data and business analytic frameworks for conceptualizing and actualizing work products and processes.
• Develop complex statistical analytical models to perform descriptive, diagnostics, predictive, and prescriptive analytics focused on improving data-driven decision making and reducing overall risk exposure. The Contractor shall develop and deliver specialized analytical models focused on continuous monitoring to support various organizational clients, internal controls of high-risk programs, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance metrics.
