Description
This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a cardiovascular intensive care unit.
The role requires a skilled nurse experienced in telemetry and surgical care to manage patient needs and support medical staff.
It is a contract position requiring onsite presence.

Requirements
2 years of experience in Cardiovascular ICU.
Strong background in telemetry and surgical care.
Competency in LVAD management.
ASN degree required.
Valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Qualifications
2 years of experience in Cardiovascular ICU.
Strong background in telemetry, stepdown, thoracic, and vascular stepdown care.
Proficient in therapeutic nursing interventions.
Competency in LVAD management.
ASN degree required; BSN preferred.
Certified in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and telemetry.
4 hours of Continuing Education Units in Stroke care.

  • Receives referrals, ensures appropriate clinician assignments, evaluate patient orders, and plot start of care visits.
  • Coordinates determination of patient home health benefits, medical necessity, and ongoing insurance approvals.
  • Ensures patient needs are continually assessed and care rendered is individualized to patient needs, appropriate and reasonable, meets home health eligibility criteria, and is in accordance with physician orders.
  • Reviews assessments and plans of care daily, per assigned workflow, and consults clinicians with recommendations, as appropriate.
