As the Director of Quality Assurance , you will spearhead and manage the quality strategy and operations across various sites within your region. Your primary focus will be ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while advocating for a culture of quality excellence. We seek a strategic leader with extensive expertise in quality systems, regulatory compliance, and a proven track record in driving cross-functional collaboration.

This role will report directly to the VP of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs and will be based on-site in Cortland, NY; Timonium, MD; Deland, FL; San Diego, CA; and Putnam, CT.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Creating and executing regional quality strategies that align with corporate objectives and acting as the main point of contact for quality-related issues and solutions.
  • Leading and mentoring site quality leaders to ensure consistent application of quality systems and standards, while analyzing quality metrics to identify areas of risk and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Guaranteeing compliance with all applicable standards and regulatory requirements (ISO, FDA Food & Beverage, PEC, ECHA, etc.).
  • Managing internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer inspections.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Developing and managing quality resource and capacity planning for the region.
  • Encouraging a culture of quality, responsibility, and operational excellence and driving ongoing improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing Management); a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., Automotive, Chemical, Food & Beverage, Military, Electronics, Paper, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of quality systems, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel regionally as necessary (up to 30%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in quality (e.g., ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Black Belt).
