Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a strategic partner to the CEO, COO, and executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, strategy, and operations. Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals and growth initiatives.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on all financial matters.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and scenario modeling to support decision-making.
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP (or IFRS if applicable).
  • Drive cost control, margin optimization, and ROI-focused investment decisions across the organization.
  • Lead treasury operations, including cash flow management, debt servicing, and capital allocation.
Risk Management & Compliance
  • Ensure effective internal controls, risk management policies, and corporate governance.
  • Oversee all audit, tax, legal, and regulatory compliance functions.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.
Capital & Investor Relations
  • Manage banking relationships, debt financing.
Team Development & Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor key finance personnel and support cross-functional leadership development.

Qualifications Education & Credentials
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field required.
  • MBA or CPA/CFA designation preferred.
Experience
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership, with 5+ years in a CFO or top finance executive role.
  • Proven experience in a growth-oriented, multi-site, or multi-division business.
  • Experience with M&A, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, financial analytics, and reporting tools.

  • In-depth understanding of GAAP, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Sage, and various ERP systems; ability to adapt quickly to new platforms is essential. Experience with system implementation is a strong advantage.
  • Industry expertise in manufacturing and construction preferred, especially in job costing and cost accounting.
  • Ability to manage complex engagements while maintaining timelines and budgets.
  • Must hold an active CPA or CMA designation.
  • A combination of public accounting and private industry experience is required.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and deliver work with speed and precision.


Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $145,000 - $160,000.
