Duties and Accountabilities: The Portfolio Manager will be part of the Strategy and Sustainability team within the Asset Management unit. The role focuses on credit analysis, idea generation, and portfolio implementation for corporate bonds across the broader Sustainable Fixed Income Strategy for Trust Funds. The Portfolio Manager will apply bottom-up credit analysis, evaluate new investment opportunities, monitor existing holdings, and contribute to strategic investment decisions. Additionally, the Portfolio Manager will ideally support one or more other key responsibilities on the team. Other responsibilities often include programming and data analysis, database construction, task automation, asset allocation, sustainable investing, and impact reporting. 1. Conduct fundamental credit analysis of individual investment-grade corporate issuers across sectors and geographies. 2. Build and maintain financial statement models to track issuer performance, assess creditworthiness, and support valuation analysis. 3. Identify relative value opportunities across the fixed income universe and within the corporate bond market. 4. Monitor issuer newsflow in real time, assess credit implications, and communicate views promptly to the team. 5. Track earnings releases, participate in earnings calls, and translate management commentary into credit insights and portfolio actions. 6. Engage with rating agencies to understand rating drivers, clarify issuer developments, and benchmark internal views. 7. Liaise with dealer counterparties and sell-side research analysts to stay current on market developments and inform investment views. 8. Build and maintain relationships with issuers, including through investor calls and non-deal roadshows. 9. Support internal investment governance processes through written credit memos, issuer summaries, and portfolio reviews. 10. Contribute to tactical asset allocation efforts and thematic research across the Strategy and Sustainability team. 11. Identify and implement efficiencies in the team's daily work processes. 12. Ability to manage multiple complex tasks while delivering high-quality results. Selection Criteria 1. Masters degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field with minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably in fixed income functions and/or asset management. A Bachelors degree, together with an additional level of direct relevant professional experience, will also be considered for selection. Internationally recognized professional qualification, such as a CFA, CAIA, FRM, or progress toward one, is a plus. 2. Credit Analysis Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience conducting in-depth, single-name fundamental credit analysis of corporate bonds, ideally investment grade, across sectors and geographies. 3. Financial Modeling and Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial statement analysis and modeling; ability to assess creditworthiness and derive forward-looking credit views using both fundamental and market-based factors. 4. Investment Skills: Proven track record of identifying investment opportunities, assessing relative value, and applying sound investment judgment within a risk-managed framework. 5. Product Knowledge: Familiarity with a broad range of fixed-income instruments, including corporate bonds, government bonds, SSAs, covered bonds, and derivatives such as interest rate swaps, FX forwards, and futures. Experience in direct trading of these instruments is an advantage. 6. Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to liaise with external stakeholders such as rating agencies, sell-side analysts, dealer counterparties, and corporate issuers to inform investment views. 7. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality analysis and effectively present investment views. 8. Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg; working knowledge of Python or similar programming tools is a plus. 9. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across global teams. 10. Proven capacity to manage multiple priorities, respond to market developments in real time, and maintain analytical rigor under pressure. 11. Responsibilities

Assist in the pre-acquisition award planning, preparing and maintaining of current and future acquisition requirements, as well as engage in post-award performance monitoring and tracking for legacy and future requirements.

Use knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and policies to advise on program and contractual matters in the acquisition planning stages.

Provide pre-award support drafting task order requirements packages, including requirements documents (statements of work, performance work statements), evaluation criteria, independent government cost estimates, quality assurance surveillance plans, service level agreements, and other acquisition support documentation as required.

Provide post-award review: project tracking and analysis, burn rates analysis, project milestone deliverables, staffing, funds run out dates, and other duties as assigned.

Work across departments and division to gather and understand requirements on programs and potential solutions - business function, user, technology, security, etc.

Provide post-award quality assurance monitoring and controlling: create quality assurance & surveillance plans (QASP) and performance requirement summary matrices (PRSM) and adjust, report, and monitor quality assurance monthly.

Conduct tradeoff, risk, and other critical analyses, and provide recommendations to support the customer programs.

Education and/or Experience, and Other Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, master's degree or advanced training in management consulting is preferred.

10 years of experience, with 5 providing management and technical direction to project personnel.

Demonstrated experience in multiple IT-related functional disciplines (e.g., two or more of: acquisition/contracts management, business analysis, project management, development, infrastructure architecture, security, quality assurance, etc.).

Expert Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills and abilities.

Must have an active/current TS/SCI with CI-Poly or ability to pass a CI-Poly.

DoD and IC experience desired.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.

Travel Requirements

We are currently seeking a Portfolio Manager to provide project management and acquisition planning support for customer projects in the DoD and IC community.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the Pre-Acquisition Award planning, preparing and maintaining of current and future acquisition requirements, as well as engage in Post-Award performance monitoring and tracking for legacy and future requirements.
  • Use knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and policies to advise on program and contractual matters in the acquisition planning stages.
  • Provide Pre-Award support drafting Task Order Requirements Packages, including requirements documents (Statements of Work, Performance Work Statements), Evaluation Criteria, Independent Government Cost Estimates, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans, Service Level Agreements, and other acquisition support documentation as required.
  • Provide Post-Award review: Project tracking and analysis, burn rates analysis, project milestone deliverables, staffing, funds run out dates, and other duties as assigned.
  • Work across departments and division to gather and understand requirements on programs and potential solutions business function, user, technology, security, etc.
  • Provide Post-Award Quality Assurance monitoring and controlling: Create Quality Assurance & Surveillance Plans (QASP) and Performance Requirement Summary Matrices (PRSM) and adjust, report, and monitor Quality Assurance monthly.
  • Conduct tradeoff, risk, and other critical analyses, and provide recommendations to support the customer programs.

Education and/or Experience, and Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree or advanced training in management consulting is preferred.
  • 10 years of experience, with 5 providing management and technical direction to project personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience in multiple IT-related functional disciplines (e.g., two or more of: Acquisition/Contracts Management, Business Analysis, Project Management, Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Security, Quality Assurance, etc.).
  • Expert Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills and abilities.
  • Must have an active/current TS/SCI with CI-Poly or ability to pass a CI-Poly.
  • DoD and IC experience desired.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel will be required within the Washington National Capital Region (NCR) on an as-needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.

Summary

Makes and services a wide variety of loans, commercial real estate loans or lines of credit, most of which involve large amounts of money and important customers. The Portfolio Manager is responsible for identifying, soliciting and retaining existing commercial business relationships and/or commercial real estate relationships including loans and deposits as well as other services and products offered by the Bank. The Portfolio Manager must work independently, with or through the management of the Department sales and service efforts to ensure retention of existing relationships as well as the growth of these relationships. The incumbent is involved in the analysis of customer/prospect business finances needs and opportunities, prospect/customer negotiations and internal presentation of credit and product requests. The incumbent is responsible for managing a portfolio of customers and is required to expand the existing relationships, attract new relationships, and analyze customers banking needs for the suitability of all bank products and services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgement in presenting complex solutions to existing customers and prospects. Must have a complete understanding of complex and multifaceted financial products and services.
  • Approve loans within specified limits, and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval.
  • Rejects loans by explaining deficiencies to customers.
  • Participates in all Department functions necessary to contribute to the achievement of Department earnings and growth objective that can be measured and actively participates in various community and civic activities.
  • Contributes significantly to meeting or exceeding the Departments budgetary goals and ensures that deposit, loan and net income goals are met.

  • Is compliant with all CBB policies and procedures to ensure a passing or better, Audit.
  • Works independently, with or through the manager to ensure the Banks CRA policies and objectives are met for its assigned service area.
  • Works independently, with or through Management of the Departments sales and service efforts to ensure retention and growth of existing relationships.
  • Manage personal sales efforts that meet or exceed Department goals with a specific production goal based on experience.
  • Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

East West Bank is currently seeking a Portfolio Manager for our Fund Finance business in the Eastern U.S region. This individual will work with the Managing Director of the Eastern region and other team members in structuring, underwriting and managing a portfolio of loans within the Fund Finance space. Main differentiating factor as seniority increases is the "consultative" approach this PM demonstrates when dealing with their clients and internal constituents. This position handles needs for a wide array of borrowers with different credit structures and depository requirements. Must have experience in underwriting loans within the Fund Finance space.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Relationship Manager in underwriting, managing and structuring fund financing loans including capital call lines, management company lines, NAV facilities and hybrid facilities, according to the Bank established guidelines and policies.
  • Assist with due diligence/analysis with new client relationships, opportunity memos as appropriate.
  • Co-manage commercial relationships by analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan requests and recommend structure as well as aggressively managing the client relationship.
  • May make presentations on specific loans and participate in the bank's Loan Approval Process, recommending approval and appropriate structure of credits.
  • Analyze and create financial loan write-ups to generate new loans.
  • Assist in accurately risk rating loans/credits.
  • Manage the renewal process by working with the Relationship Manager, the client and the credit department including increase/amendment/waiver.
  • Partner with the Relationship Manager as the point of contact for the client; acting as a liaison to the Credit Department, the Commercial support staff and other internal business partners.
  • Work with credit analysts in reviewing existing credits.
  • Ongoing monitoring of credit/Covenant Compliance.
  • Develop problem loan credit solutions.
  • Responsible for credit risk and quality of the portfolio.
  • Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established EWB credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform other administrative duties required for the maintenance of a portfolio of clients.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and directly related experience.
  • Has 10 plus years of banking experience with direct portfolio management experience.
  • Demonstrates strong underwriting and projection skills.
  • Has strong understanding of credit policy and procedures and is able to accurately risk-rate loans/credits, evaluates both cash-flow and collateral-based loans/credits.
  • Has strong knowledge in fund finance loans.
  • Must be proficient in Excel for purposes of financial modeling.
Compensation

Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000

Specific placement within the provided range will be determined by an individual's geographic location as well as relevant experience and skills for the role. Responsibilities

The candidate can expect to:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the portfolio managers and partner to the business leader
  • Identify, develop and cultivate a high quality, sophisticated client base across distribution channels, and geographies
  • Preserve investment team time by providing product specialist services, cultivating and maintaining an intimate understanding of the portfolio and investment philosophy and process

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 10 years of experience at a buy side firm with a combination of portfolio specialist and sales experience
  • Deep knowledge of the emerging markets debt space and investment strategies
  • Effective communication skills to clearly articulate the team's investment process, differentiated approach and competitive edge
  • Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships internally and externally
  • Entrepreneurial approach with a desire to build a top-tier investment franchise
  • Demonstrable sales success through persistence, creativity and commitment to a shared vision
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis; domestic and global (25%)
  • CFA and/or MBA is strongly desired
