Mission Graduates increases the number of K-12 students in San Francisco's Mission District who are prepared for and complete a college education. We work towards fulfilling our mission through a wide range of after-school support services that serve over 1,500 children, youth and families each year.  Our vision is to transform the culture of our neighborhood so that college becomes the expectation for Mission families, rather than the exception.

We would like to invite you to volunteer as High School Mentors to work with our incoming High School seniors as they prepare for their college applications. Every summer, Mission Graduates pair Writing Partners with high school students to work one-on-one on writing their personal insight questions (PIQ) for college applications and scholarships, meeting weekly throughout the academic year. Writing Partners are able to cultivate meaningful relationships with youth and provide them with much-needed support in such an important chapter of their lives. Content Creation Intern (Aviation Industry) Location: Rutherford County, TN (On-site visits required) Employment Type: Part-Time Internship (5-10 hours per week) Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer, Stratus Financial About Stratus Financial Stratus Financial is a leading student lending company specializing in financing the next generation of aviators. We partner with top flight schools nationwide to make flight training accessible and achievable for aspiring pilots. We're looking for a creative and motivated Content Creation Intern to join our marketing team on a part-time basis. This position will focus on supporting one of our client flight schools by capturing and producing engaging, story-driven content that showcases the flight training experience. Position Overview As the Content Creation Intern, you'll work directly with Stratus Financial's Chief Marketing Officer to plan, capture, and produce visual content (videos, photos, and reels) that highlight the excitement and professionalism of flight training. You'll visit the client's flight school weekly to record students, instructors, aircraft, and campus activities-turning those moments into compelling, shareable content for social media. This is a hands-on, creative internship perfect for someone passionate about aviation, social media, and visual storytelling. Key Responsibilities Visit the client's flight school weekly to capture photos and videos of students, instructors, and aircraft. Edit and produce short-form videos (Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) and photo posts. Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop creative campaigns and content calendars. Brainstorm and execute on-trend social media content ideas. Organize and manage photo and video libraries. Ensure all content aligns with Stratus Financial and client brand standards. Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Film, Digital Media, or related field. Must have access to: A modern iPhone capable of high-quality video recording, and Either an SLR/DSLR camera, GoPro, or comparable device for capturing photos and videos. Experience with photo and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Lightroom, Canva). Strong creative instincts and attention to visual detail. Reliable transportation for weekly on-site visits. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Skills Familiarity with social media platforms - Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, Meta, and LinkedIn posting best practices as well as scheduling, or analytics tools. Interest or basic knowledge of aviation. Drone photography/videography experience (FAA Part 107 certification a plus). Job Description:

The Part-Time WCC Writing Consultant will

• Provide writing and communications support for all students at Stevens Institute of Technology (undergrad to PhD)

• Create and present workshops on various communication topics

• Help students with cover letters, resumes and interview skills

• Help students build vocabulary and practice speaking and conversing in English 

• Create instructional materials 

• Mentor undergraduate peer consultants 

Required Qualifications:

• Experience working in a writing center and/or teaching writing at the university level

• Graduate degree, or currently enrolled in a graduate program, in English, Rhetoric, Communications, or related field

• Superior written and verbal communication skills

• Superior interpersonal skills

• Proficient with MS Office Suite, web-based research

• Ability to initiate projects and contribute ideas toward improving and growing the WCC 

• Experience with English language learners and diverse student populations

The Basics
At Tanium,
Technical Writing Interns
gain valuable, real-world experience in creating user guides and other product documentation. You'll be assigned a senior technical writing mentor, and you'll work with our team directly on new content for Tanium products. During your internship you'll create content that is delivered to Tanium's customers and get feedback on how your content is received. Examples of the technical writing experience you will have at Tanium include:

• Learning how technical writers work with engineering, product management, and other teams to create world-class user guides and in-product help content
• Writing feature documentation to include in Tanium user guides
• Understanding Tanium's technical writing tools and publishing processes
• Getting and providing feedback through peer editing
• Helping with information architecture projects

The hourly rate for this internship is $40-$45 per hour. This hourly rate is an estimate for what Tanium will pay an intern. The actual rate offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an hourly rate, interns will be eligible for a housing stipend, 401k matching, and a monthly allowance for communications reimbursement.

What You'll Do

• Be assigned to a technical writing project with technical writer mentor.
• Experience first–hand creating documentation in a software security company – work in the real world on creating content based on new features that are going into Tanium products.
• Meet regularly with your 1-1 mentor.
• Produce a unique deliverable to put on your resume.
• Show off what you learned with our entire team at the end of your internship – get great exposure to engineering leadership
• Participate in intern events and network with our wider internship cohort of 70+ interns.

Required Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
• Available to work full-time from June 8, 2026, to August 14, 2026.
• A currently enrolled Bachelor's degree candidate in computer science, technical communication, or a related degree program. GPA of 3.5 or above REQUIRED.
• Graduating Spring 2027 or Fall 2026.
• Coursework in computer science, web development, or XML structured authoring.
• Familiar with technical writing, user experience, and information architecture principles.
• Able to share writing samples or a project portfolio.
• Excited and driven to learn new technical skills.
• Passionate about technology, software, and figuring out how things work.
• A great communicator and can collaborate with a team as well as work independently.

Past internship helpful but not required.
