As a Computer Scientist Intern at Rackner, you will have the chance to work closely with our team of experienced computer scientists and engineers on challenging and impactful projects. **Summary**
The College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Computer Science from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. POSITION SUMMARY

The person occupying this role facilitates museum experiences, engages guests, and develops activities and exhibits content at Discovery Place Science and Charlotte Museum of Nature. Responsibilities:

• Teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science.
• Develop and revise course content, syllabi, and teaching materials to ensure relevance and rigor.
• Create engaging and effective learning experiences, utilizing various pedagogical approaches.
• Mentor and advise students on academic progress, course selection, and career pathways.
• Assess student learning through exams, assignments, projects, and presentations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their development.
• Contribute to the department's curriculum development and program review processes.
• Participate in departmental meetings and service activities.
• Stay current with advancements in computer science and computer science education.
• Potentially supervise student projects or research activities.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is required. Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience teaching computer science at the university level.
• Proven ability to teach effectively across a range of computer science topics.
• Excellent pedagogical skills and a passion for teaching and student mentorship.
• Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in software development and computer science.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with online teaching platforms and methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
