Job Description
Transports all patient populations to and from examinations and treatments. Performs general errands and other routine duties including cleaning equipment, securing supplies, and other tasks as required. Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care. Adheres to unit procedures wherever transport services rendered.
Essential Functions-
Prepares patient for transport and performs passive and active identification to ensure all patients are properly identified before transporting.
Transports all patients and equipment to and from testing and procedure areas including inpatient, outpatient, emergency and high risk Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Effectively communicates with medical employees to ensure all required medical supplies and medications are appropriately transported with the patient including the administering of oxygen when required.
Responsible for the timely discharge of patients throughout the hospital.
Under the direction of medical employees and/or Registered Nurse (RN), assists in providing support in toileting ambulatory patients.
Cleans and disinfects equipment according to established policies and procedures. Maintains clean work areas and returns equipment to appropriate department. Communicates malfunctioning equipment/instruments to appropriate department/unit staff.

Minimum Requirements
- Over the age of 21 years old
- Eligible to work for any U.S. Employer
- High school Diploma or GED
- Possess a valid active in-state regular driver's license (Permit or Probationary License not accepted )
- At least 1 year of valet/shuttle/driving experience with a strong, personable, customer-centric background is required
- Extremely safe driver, familiar with and able to adhere to all major traffic laws
- Maintained a clean driving record for the past 5 years as an active driver
- CDL License is not required, but is a plus!
Key Responsibilities
When shuttling guests
- Greet and welcome guests to the healthcare facility
- Answer guests' questions regarding offices or department locations.
- Follows a planned route, making scheduled stops to pick up or drop off patients, visitors, and guests.
- Assists patients, visitors, and guests on and off the shuttle when help is needed.
- Daily use of apps/technology to maintain operational efficiency and logistics for the assigned shuttle route
- Complete pre-shift and end-shift safety checks and document any damage or necessary information about the shuttle.
When not shuttle driving for guests
- Greet and welcome guests to the healthcare facility
- Assist in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and professional work environment for your co-workers and passengers
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with all patients, guests, and team members
- Answer guests' questions regarding medical offices or department locations.
About You.
You have excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset. You know how to de-escalate difficult situations and how to keep a calm and composed attitude in a fast-paced environment.
You are well-spoken, professional , and able to uphold an exceptional level of integrity and customer service while working.
You are over the age of 21, possess a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record, and have the physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights while working in an outdoor environment.

Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment and patient-related items to their destinations enabling physicians, nurses, technicians, and therapists to perform their duties in an effective manner. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responds to transport requests with a sense of urgency.
* Ensures oxygen tanks are not empty/tank has enough oxygen for entire transport.
* Ensures the comfort of the patient throughout entire request by being attentive; offers blankets, checks modesty, and only engages in appropriate conversation involving the patient.
Minimum Requirements:
* Must be able to read and speak English

* Follows hospital specific protocols - for example, isolation and radiation precautions, among others
