Our SE Region is seeking Senior Pipeline Engineers to sit in either our Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC offices and be responsible for oversight pipeline engineering and consulting services for clients across the US. Main responsibilities include leading others in creating pipeline design deliverables. Projects range in size and complexity from small utility distribution upgrades to large transmission projects. This position can influence the growth and success of the Pipelines group. Opportunities to advance into leadership roles are available.
Senior Pipeline Engineer may include full or partial responsibility of the following assignments:
+ Lead in the execution of engineering activities
+ Pipeline design including plans, profiles, details and associated bill of materials
+ Pipeline facility design (metering and regulating stations, storage field upgrades, and compressor stations) including plans, sections, and details and associated bill of materials
+ Coordination to obtain survey, geotechnical investigations, permitting, land acquisition.
+ Calculations for studies and reports
+ Material and equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testing
+ Lead in preparation of proposals and scope development, including
+ Conceptual designs and execution plans
+ Engineering/project cost estimates and schedules
+ Lead coordination of design activities with other disciplines (Pipeline Facilities, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, etc.)

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited program
+ Minimum of 7 years related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience)
+ Profession Engineer registration strongly preferred
+ Proficiency with 49 CFR Part 192 and ASME B31.8. Preference for familiarity with 49 CFR Part 195 and ASME B31.4
+ Strong preference for those with:
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Capability of solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard approaches, techniques, procedures and criteria

WSP USA Inc is currently seeking a **Lead Pipeline Engineer** to work out of our office located in **Houston (TX).** The candidate in this role will work with engineering team members across the world to deliver pipeline solutions to clients in the mining, oil & gas, and water sectors. **Responsibilities of the role will include:**
+ Safely perform work, both in the field and office, and operate vehicles on behalf of the company.
+ Work closely with multidiscipline engineering staff in the design of pipelines systems across pipeline lifecycle including planning, feasibility studies (FEED) and route selection, permitting, detail design, procurement, construction, and deactivation/demolition.
+ Provide engineering support to pipeline routing studies, stress analysis, and mechanical detailed engineering design of liquid, gas and/or slurry pipeline systems, including DOT regulated pipelines and terminal/station pumping & piping.
+ Participate in field/site walks, coordinate field investigation work for surveys, utility investigations, environmental delineations, geotechnical investigations, hydrologic assessment etc. in support of the pipeline design effort.
+ Coordinate engineering and survey services in support of right of way acquisition needs on pipeline projects.
+ Prepare project funding documents such as cost estimates, equipment bid summaries and authorization requests.
+ Participate in engineering and field construction support services and troubleshooting with direct client interface in collaboration with project team.
+ Support development of permit application packages associated with pipeline projects.
+ Prepare and/or review documents including proposals, technical reports, workplans, cost estimates, design/drawing packages, calculations, and other client correspondence.
+ Successfully manage project delivery in accordance with company procedures and quality management plans.
+ Interact with clients, including preparation for and participation in meetings, preparation of progress reports, proposals, and other correspondence, maintaining responsive and positive client relationships.
**Required:**

+ Familiar with common pipeline engineering software such as Pipeline Toolbox, AutoPIPE/CAESAR II, PipeFLO, and AFT Impulse.

This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise monitoring and telemetry platforms; Confluent Enterprise Platform (i.e., Kafka), ITRS Geneos, and OpenTelemetry telemetry pipeline as a member of the Enterprise Telemetry team. Activities include supporting Kafka producers and consumers, ITRS agent administration, OTEL pipeline management, troubleshooting and resolving issues, identifying opportunities for improvement, and creating reference and run-book documentation. May also participate in developing observability dashboards and configure monitoring and alerting as needed. Must be able to plan, coordinate and implement changes and use tools to troubleshoot incidents. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
This position will help monitor the health of these environments and address issues in a timely manner. Duties will also include on-boarding new producer and consumer use cases, performing software upgrades, process improvement, and additional platform support roles. It will also include contributing to the build and support of the enterprise telemetry pipeline. Proficient with Monitoring Tools, Linux administration; Proficient in Kafka administration, including installing software, modifying configuration files, and agent management. Highly efficient multi-tasker and great organization skills. Splunk, Grafana, and Datadog experience a plus.
Duties will include:
· On-boarding new Kafka producer and consumer use cases.
· Engineering and supporting the enterprise telemetry pipeline
· Testing and deploying software upgrades.
· Managing and supporting telemetry agents.
· Support of OpenTelemetry collectors
· Issue troubleshooting and resolution.
What you have· Deep understanding of the Confluent Enterprise Platform component: Brokers, Topics, Partitions, Producers, Consumers, Zookeeper, KRaft.
· Ability to setup and configure on-prem Kafka components, replication factors, and partitioning.
· Understanding of telemetry monitoring platforms and concepts, like ITRS Geneos, OpenTelemetry agents like Grafana Alloy. Grafana Cloud and Datadog.
· Deep understanding of security protocols: SSL/TLS, SASL, LDAP, etc. and role-based authentication.
· Experience working in telemetry monitoring (alerts, events, logs, metrics, and traces).
