Job Description:
**Summary:**
This role is responsible for coordinating and expediting theflow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer requirements while minimizing manufacturing, distribution costs, and inventory investment.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Create and maintain schedules to successfully meet shipping dates according to forecasts and orders while maximizing efficiencies. Create and/or recommend revisions to production schedules as needed.
+ Utilize released and created work orders to ensure compliance with the planned demand to support sales and inventory levels while utilizing available capacity.
+ Prepare scheduling reports, delivery performance metrics, and supply chain analyses as required.
+ Provide leadership visibility over potential issues that may impact production scheduling (i.e. raw material/equipment issues). Communicate with internal customers as to the status of open orders/jobs and exceptions impacting on-time delivery.
+ Support and maintain a high quality of data for planning parameters (stocking policies, lead time, safety stocks, etc.).
+ Participate, support and lead improvement projects and special initiatives required by the planning organization.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business or related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
+ 2+ years of relevant planning and/or logistics experience.

**Our client is looking for a Production Planner to join their team! You would be responsible for collaborating with departmental managers, supervisors, and customer service teams to align planning activities with efficient manufacturing processes. Duties include organizing production to meet demand and quality standards while ensuring timely processing and delivery of goods.**

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Release production requests and prioritize orders with internal and external teams.
+ Track orders from receipt to shipment and update status reports.
+ Plan product flow through production, QC, QA, packaging, and shipping.
+ Schedule shipments and coordinate with customer service and production teams.
+ Liaise with QA to ensure batch releases meet shipping deadlines.
+ Monitor key inventories for products and raw materials.
+ Identify process improvement opportunities and coordinate development requests.
+ Determine resource needs (personnel, equipment, raw materials) and communicate with managers.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree.
+ 3-5 years of production planning in biotech, pharma, or medical device industries (GMP-regulated).
+ Experience with MS Office and ERP systems.
+ Familiarity with CPIM/APICS certification (preferred).

**Job Title: Production Planner**

The **Production Planner** is responsible for all strategic and tactical activities required to ensure on time delivery to customer commitments, operations & inventory optimization. They will monitor and maintain flow, and control of materials for all production programs in their area(s).
**Responsibilities**
+ Work directly with Program Managers, Operations Managers, and attend program meetings to monitor schedule and part changes.
+ Work directly with Operations, Purchasing, Accounting, Receiving, Quality, and Stockroom to maintain flow of material.
+ Conduct finite capacity scheduling in support of the master production schedule, plan and manage all production scheduling and material related activities for new product introductions
+ Define finite production schedule, and partner with Operations to ensure on time delivery to plan.
+ Launches all production orders, monitors the flow of material through the production line and partners with Operations to mitigate any schedule attainment issues
+ Monitor delivery dates and expedite material with Purchasing to maintain material requirements to MRP.
+ Review bill of material for structure, accuracy, and planning parameters to ensure they are set up appropriately.
+ Review and action excess and shortage reports with Purchasing.
+ Monitor weekly shipments, assuring that production lines are achieving 100% on time delivery.
+ Identify critical material deliveries and ensure program requirements are prioritized though the supply chain as well as internal efforts (i.e.: Receiving, Inspection and Stockroom, internal processing).
+ Manage the cycle count process on programs, including creating cycle count sheets, entering data, and reconciling variances.
+ Manage/monitor backflush process.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree and minimum 2 years of prior experience or 8 years of prior experience in liu of education.
+ Experience in a supply-chain or material-related position, preferably supporting a manufacturing operation is required.
+ Computer proficiency is required, with advanced knowledge of ERP systems (preferably InforLN or Oracle,) Oracle MRP Planning Environment and Microsoft Excel needed
+ Must be able to develop and execute an MRP plan using business system and desktop applications
+ Must be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to develop creative solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment
+ Knowledge of electronic (hi-rel) parts requirements and associated processes is needed
+ Well-developed verbal and written communication skills are needed in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers and suppliers
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Able to analyze and identify historical demand data and inform production forecasts.
+ Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills a plus. Including expertise in data modeling with PivotTables, advanced functions with multiple criteria, and ability to build and maintain analytical tools for demand forecasting and planning.

**The Job:**
The Production Planner/Scheduler Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.
As a Production Planner, you'll be part of our Aerospace team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to:
+ Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements
+ Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule
+ Execute MRB messages to push, pull, or release Work Orders and release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for kit picking.
+ Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages and notify Sales of any schedule impacts to customers.
+ Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved
+ Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
+ Follow all policies and procedures; initiate changes to existing processes to improve overall effectiveness.
+ Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
+ Proficient use of computer systems and software applications and in‐depth knowledge of ERP or MRP software preferred.
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ Others duties as assigned.
