**JOB SUMMARY**
This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting the company's products and services and for building relationships with new and existing accounts. **QUALIFICATIONS**
**Required Education/Experience**

**Job Summary**
The Lab sales team focuses on selling high-quality Cardinal Health Brand Laboratory Products and Services tailored for every lab discipline, including custom kitting and distribution services into hospital and independent labs. The **Sales** **Consultant** **, Laboratory Products** **& Distribution** has the responsibility for growing Cardinal Health Brand, Preferred National Brand products & distribution services in these facilities. This individual will take the lead role in delivering complex broad-based portfolio of solutions that meet customer needs and builds and sustains relationships with current and new accounts. Our Cardinal Health Laboratory team is deeply knowledgeable into the clinical lab industry and the challenges it faces, including increasing complexity, workforce shortages, budget constraints and evolving supply chain requirements. Our comprehensive product offering is continuously expanding to meet the requirements of our customers, and we support the end-to-end testing workflow with products for every lab discipline, including custom kitting solutions, capital equipment and point of care options.
**Territory:** San Jose, California
**Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for managing a large territory with the direct objectivetoincrease account penetration, and customer satisfaction within the lab space.
+ Drive new business, providing optimal service, targeting Cardinal brand conversion opportunities and growth across the lab products portfolioand distribution services.
+ Collaborates both internally and externally within various business units such as key contacts within national accounts, GPO , and other vendors to archiveresults.
+ Initiates and takes ownership of principles of territory management, including account planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation processes, deal economics.
+ Negotiates contracts locally, including costing agreements with manufacturers.
+ Ensures optimal service levels and holds internal teams accountable for customer service, operations, pricing, inventory, etc.
+ Validates that contacts are loaded in a timely manner and that contracts are back dated correctly and that the integrity of the contract is maintained. Submits and processes all account maintenance for customer accounts within the internal system.
+ Provides technical support on products such as providing demonstrations of products, samples of products and conducting trainingsof staff.
+ Complete all administrative tasks & training including expense reports, pipeline, maintainaccurate SFDC records, market feedback, etc.
+ Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed. Attend all regional, divisional and sector events including National Sales Meetings.
+ Maintain required sales activity level - examples include the number of expected visits & calls, number of products presented/account, etc.
+ Assists distribution order support and coordination as needed. Assist customers with back-orders and other related service issues
+ Maintain knowledge of the current industry/competitive landscape including, GPO's, healthcare economics, reimbursement, competitors, competitive products, etc.
+ Travel within assigned territory to call on accounts including overnight travel. Maintain active, in-person presence
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
+ Previous successful sales experience in distribution or healthcare preferred, lab experience beneficial.
+ Lives within the managed territory (lives within 30 minutes of city where largest prime vendors are located)
+ Experience working with Microsoft applications and other CRM tools (i.e. salesforce).
+ Understands the sales process in a faced paced, highly complex selling environment
+ Must be experienced with business development and cold calling
+ Strong organizational skills & business acumen
+ Demonstrate history of high achievement and coachability through new challenges
+ Ability to travel as needed (about 4-6 overnights a month on average)
+ A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving record
+ Customer/Vendor credentialing is required (this may include vaccinations). More details will be provided if you are selected for an interview.
**Anticipated pay range:** $128,000 - $157,800 (includes targeted variable pay)

**What You'll Do:**
+ Leads, champions, owns, teaches and drives the SSA process for the office. Provides oversight and evaluation of office SSA effectiveness, intervening when needed to adhere to the established process. Participates in client service action plans.
+ Develops and delivers on new win goals for the office (budget and performance), opportunities, hit rates, client assessments and client audits. Maintains data on and monitors project wins.
+ Serves as key strategist to pursuits, leading war rooms, participating in go-no go decisions and leveraging relationships across the firm to bring resources to support project pursuits. May support the pursuit champion in budgeting for pursuits. Understands the status of each pursuit, monitoring risks to success including pursuit resource allocation, key hires, and client issues. Ensures debriefs and after action reviews (AARs) are completed on all pursuits, following up and acting on lessons learned.
* Shepherds the development of the office strategic plan, following the HNTB process, involving key inputs from Client Service Leaders/teams, ideas and drafts for review and direction from the Office Leader.
+ Assists the Office Leadership team in developing an office-level government and public relations plan that supports the objectives of client growth, new client development and key pursuit success.
+ Acts as a liaison between the office and the Division Sales Officer on all matters related to pursuits and pursuit budget.
+ Acts as a trusted advisor to the Office Leader, serving as a member of the office leadership team and contributing beyond a sales focus.
+ Fosters own client relationships and recommends effective teaming relationships at local, regional and firmwide levels.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**What You'll Need:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Architecture or relevant field.
+ 10 years relevant experience

Responsibilities

Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

5 - 7 years' previous sales experience required; previous management experience desired.

Ability to give feedback on account plans; connect accounts to best owner.

Understand financial reports; ability to use simple numerical analyses to drive decision making.

Industry and company knowledge, upsells and cross-sells across different LOBs; relationship building skills.
