Job Responsibilities:
About the Role: The Senior Category Manager, Semiconductors position is responsible for driving the pooling of demand activities cross group with the target to achieve additional savings out of scale at our Supplier base. The Senior Category Manager, Semiconductors works closely with the worldwide acting Lead Buyer, Electronics within the Electronics Group.
This role will be involved, to varying degrees, with all aspects of the strategic sourcing process, including project planning, specifications development, supply market research, Supplier engagement, evaluation, selection, and new Supplier implementation. The Senior Category Manager, Semiconductors supports strategic sourcing activities for assigned sub-categories of spend, capturing savings through purchasing volume, leveraging, negotiating price, and working capital.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently within a team environment involving all group representatives with no direct reporting line to the position. A strong ability to influence and convince Stake Holders is mandatory.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure regular communication with all groups.
- Continue analysis of worldwide semiconductor/PCB market
- Support strategy definition
- Handle Supplier categorization (Strategic, Approved and Phase Out) on a L2 (/L3) commodity basis and work with the Divisional Buyers to respect this framework in their daily business and awards of new programs.
- Interface with customer requests (allocation calls.)
- Drive brokering of obsolesce material.
- Prepare, support and drive negotiation at Suppliers by using cross group volume with the Lead Buyer, Electronics.
- Provide an overview on the results of the negotiation, including a presentation of results.
- Achieve targets and create budgets considering strategy and risk management.
- Support Sales and Purchasing in negotiations with OEM and Suppliers
- Develop and implement procurement cost savings ideas.
- Develop and maintain key Supplier relationships.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams in design and execution of category sourcing strategies.
- Coordinate all Supplier issues with applicable functional organizations.
- Lead, manage, and negotiate contracts and supply agreements in support of overall goals and objectives.
- Lead internal reviews of contracts with required functional areas such as Legal, Finance, etc.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement technical & commercial cost reduction and risk mitigation projects.
- Ensure compliance of internal controls as it relates to company policies and procedures.
- Handle other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or Business.
- 5+ years purchasing experience in the automotive industry.
- 7+ years purchasing experience, including procurement expertise in direct materials, including but not limited to semiconductors and PCBs.
- Thorough understanding of the production process of the respective material
- Ability to support and lead data analytics.
- Ability to travel to Suppliers worldwide.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
- Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and relationship building skills.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills.

**Job Description**
The Sr. Sales Manager position is an individual contributor responsible for managing all aspects of component sales (sensors and semiconductors) including management of the relationship with automotive OEMs and automotive Tier-1 customers.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Commercial Management:** You will oversee the commercial activities for defined directed-buy Tier customers, OEM business, and foundry business. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth business operations with these accounts including but not limited to: sales (price and volume) reporting by calendar year, logistics and sample coordination, special sales tracking, price and contract negotiations, and all other commercial related topics.
+ **Quotations & Order Management:** You will manage the end-to-end process for customer quotations, purchase order confirmations, and order management. This will include handling inquiries, preparing accurate quotes, and ensuring timely confirmation of orders to meet customer expectations.
+ **New Acquisition & Price Negotiations:** You will lead negotiations on applicable price adders with Tier customers, ensuring that pricing is competitive and aligned with business objectives. You will maintain strong relationships with your customers to facilitate successful outcomes. Ascertaining new business opportunities and acquisition of Bosch's Semiconductors and Sensor components with new and existing customers.
+ **Collaboration with OE Sales Teams:** You will work closely with original equipment (OE) sales teams to ensure alignment on business strategies and customer requirements. Your collaboration will be critical to ensuring seamless communication between the Tier customers and OE teams.
+ **Account Receivables Management:** You will take ownership of account receivables for your Tier customers, foundry customers and OEM customers, actively monitoring payments, and initiating escalation steps when necessary. Your goal will be to maintain healthy cash flow and resolve any payment-related issues.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or Business Administration
+ 7+ years of experience working in a commercial sales role in the automotive or mobility space, with a focus on semiconductors and sensor components
+ Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, both locally and globally
+ 15-20% travel nationally/internationally as required for customer meetings, training, and customer support (May be required to spend 2 weeks in Germany for initial commercial and technical training)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Sales experience with silicon carbide, power electronics, semiconductors and/or MEMS semiconductor devices
+ An understanding of the major Automotive OEM customers, Tier-1 suppliers, and related semiconductor electronics market
+ Knowledge of vehicles systems utilizing power electronics (i.e. inverters, onboard chargers, converters etc.)
+ Knowledge of other vehicle systems including, navigation and mobility, safety systems including airbag systems, and/or braking systems
+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
+ Excellent organizational skills to properly track and report customer account progress to management
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey detailed messages to customers and to international audiences
+ Experience in customer account management including negotiations and commercial functions
+ Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a clear understanding of the business environment
**Additional Information**
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000-$200,000. + **Tape Solutions for Semiconductor and electronic component manufacturing processes:** Among 3M's many tape products, our product platform offers tape products that are used as consumable materials in our customers' manufacturing processes. Their common performance requirements are to provide the performance needed in the customer's manufacturing process and to be easily removed after use without leaving a residue. Our typical products include adhesive tapes for fixing pads in CMP, and tapes for masking specific areas of electronic components in processes such as resin molding, plating, and etching.
+ **Customer Engagement:** In this role, with the ultimate goal of providing solutions that meet the comprehensive goals ( sometimes even potential needs) of our customers, you stay in constant contact with target customers and work with our international product development teams to continually explore the best options for our customers and the proposals that differentiate us from competing materials suppliers.
+ **Data Package Preparation:** You not only deliver valuable information (pain points and product performance requirements) obtained from our customers to our product development team, but sometimes you also find applications and usage conditions that maximize the performance of our products through your own experiments in the lab and provide these data packages to customers, thereby gaining their trust in 3M products.

Tasks will include some or all the following:
+ Apply your skills as design engineer while learning about superconducting technology including NG's patented Reciprocal Quantum Logic (RQL).
+ Invent new circuit solutions and topologies utilizing superconducting Josephson Junction (JJ) devices.
+ Design, layout and verify custom integrated circuits in NG superconducting technologies.
+ Work with high-frequency simulation and Multiphysics software tools such as ANSYS (HFSS/Maxwell3D), ADS (Momentum), COMSOL, etc.
+ Collaborate with subject matter experts, product owners, and other team members to develop, document, and propagate best practices.

Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $58,000.00Salary Range 2: 131,100.00 - 196,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
