The Opportunity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $75,800 -- $151,200 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. **Responsibilities:**
+ Create and implement comprehensive SEO plans to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic for Cengage Marketing websites
+ Work closely with go-to-market partners to align SEO strategies with business goals and objectives
+ Act as the main liaison with SEO consultants/services to review and enhance SEO plans to improve search engine rankings and ensure alignment with business goals
+ Develop an overarching go-to-market SEO strategy plan for Cengage Group Marketing that considers all business unit marketing websites and regions
+ Work with social and paid media teams to ensure cohesive marketing efforts
+ Work with web production owners to implement technical and content SEO strategies
+ Guide content teams with targeted keyword strategies. Create keyword playbooks and train teams on how to implement
+ Identify and work with internal teams to resolve technical SEO issues to optimize website performance
+ Track SEO metrics such as traffic, rankings, and conversion rates, share of voice, competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly
+ Regularly meet and provide actionable recommendations and clear, concise reports to stakeholders on the status of their SEO campaigns
+ Keep abreast of the SEO trends and algorithm updates to maintain competitive advantage
+ Be responsible for the work of the SEO Specialist
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Decision Science, Information Technology or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience as an SEO lead in a fast-paced environment
+ In-depth knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with standard SEO tools (e.g., BrightEdge, Moz, Google Search Console, GA4)
+ Proficiency with Excel
