**What You Will Do**
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager Construction to join our team within the Manager Construction Division in support of the Capital Projects Portfolio at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
The Manager Construction 3 is responsible for the successful completion of all activities related to the execution of assigned Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) projects. In addition, as a CM, you will contribute to the overall administration and technical direction, coordination, and direct line responsibilities for field construction, including maintaining and ensuring safety and security training, compliance, and makes safety and security an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security. This position demands a strong on-site and in the field presence, to successfully manage the execution of assigned projects.
Manager of Construction duties include but are not limited to: Reviews project construction estimates, budgets, forecasts, schedules, and costs for acceptability. Also reviews specifications and drawings for economic constructability. Participates in the resolution of problems involving staffing, material delivery, and contract/subcontract administration. As a deployed resource in a strong-matrixed team, you will coordinate with Project Management, Design Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls and other functional departments and personnel in establishing and maintaining priorities to ensure the success of the project. Identifies issues for the project manager to ensure the success of the project. Provides counseling, guidance, and direction to Site Managers to facilitate the successful execution of the construction project. Monitors distributable expenses in the field. Staff's construction project site teams and monitors construction personnel performance, quality, and technical adequacy. Ensures that the appropriate field procedures are in place and being adhered to. Concurs with the selection of the appropriate construction controls for the project from the generic project control system. Ensures that appropriate project training programs are identified and implemented. Fosters a mutually respectful work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. May serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM) responsible for planning, budgeting, managing, and controlling costs and schedule performance for a project or subproject and serve as a point of contact for project controls, including account scope, schedule, budget and technical performance. Ensure work packages realistically represent the duration and budget necessary to perform work and perform variance analysis reviews, determine cause and effect of schedule or cost variance, and define achievable corrective action plans. If you are a proven leader in warehouse management, order fulfillment, inventory control, process management, work-shift coordination, and are organized with great communication skills, this is the position for you!
**Responsibilities**
Responsible for the workload planning, production, and execution of a fast-paced operation with the leadership and development of hourly associates and salaried leaders.
**This position oversees a team of hourly associates working a 2nd shift schedule beginning at 12:00 pm - until the job is completed.**
**In addition to the responsibilities above, you will:**
+ Coordinate and ensure all safety and regulatory compliance in a proactive and positive manner
+ Lead all aspects of shift operations to include picking, shipping, receiving and trailer loading operations
+ Establish weekly operations plans to ensure all customer volume is processed in a timely manner
+ Run quality functions: supervise internal/external quality controls; track service commitment levels and effectiveness, develop quality initiatives; implement standard methodologies.
+ Balance workload planning to reach budget and production goals
+ Lead all aspects of inventory control in our warehouse and overall quality program to meet daily levels of service and perfect order metrics
+ Champion employee engagement through coaching and development programs, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment while enhancing individual skills and career growth.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred
+ 3+ years' management experience in supply chain distribution
+ WMS and LMS experience strongly preferred
+ Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations
+ Previous experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring and development initiatives
+ Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced distribution center environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and accuracy in all tasks.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines as required
+ Communicate and collaborate effectively with senior leadership across multiple shifts to ensure alignment on strategic goals, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
