Responsibilities:
- Member of a full-stack software development team (Scrum)
- Develop highly reliable software solutions that are used across Blue Origin
- Participate in the development and maintenance of multi-tenant SaaS applications for new and existing capabilities
- Actively participate in the different Scrum ceremonies as a team member
- Contribute to standards and best practices and coach and mentor fellow and junior engineers
- Deep dive into your users’ problems and partner with product managers to find and create efficient solutions
- Owning software services for supply chain
- Work with lastest AI/machine learning models and intergrate with software stack for supply chain
- Experience with Java or Python
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer developing with a focus on data engineering and backend development
- Experience working on a full-stack software development team in an agile development (Scrum preferred) with at least 3 years working in data engineering with relational and non-relational datastores
- Proven ability to learn quickly and develop creative solutions to complex problem
- A passion for innovation, learning and sharing knowledge
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate Certification
- Experience working in public clouds (AWS preferred) with infrastructure-as-code
- Expertise in debugging, profiling, and improving application performance
- Experience in design and development of cloud native solutions, micro-services and backend systems
- Experience working with in-stream data processing using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar technologies
- Advanced level SQL and scripting
- Manufacturing and/or Aerospace experience

As a member of the Developer Productivity Team, you will be responsible for the delivery process and the overall developer experience. US Salary Range
$132,000 — $198,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. The base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $80,000 to 280,000. A successful candidate’s actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate’s position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage). Job Summary
This role will be an integral part of the Developer Enablement team. A solid candidate for this role will have experience with researching new technologies and frameworks and will identify best practices while implementing tools that help to enable development teams across Henry Schein One.
What you will do
- Build and maintain backend and frontend services for our developer toolkit that enable productivity
- Participate in architectural definitions with a high degree of innovation and creativity
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in software applications by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
- Conduct code reviews and assure adherence to software coding standards
- Implement well suited design patterns and mentor other development teams in their use
- Lead development in new technical pursuits and proof of concepts

Qualifications
Must haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience
- 8+ years of software engineering in a professional environment
- Experience working on proof of concepts projects

The posted range for this position is $96,000 - $168,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 10% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
