Job Description
- Owns vendor relationship and manages product sourcing strategy including cost targets, contract negotiations working with Legal and Hyve Management Team, business strategy planning and supplier capacities
- Develop a competitive sourcing process including new supplier qualification with the goal of improving quality, reducing cost and with better service and lead times
- Continuously drive cost savings opportunities, present proposals to management, implement the initiatives and track progress
- Proactively work on second source for key products to ensure business continuity, pricing competitiveness, best quality and operational flexibility
- Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams and external agencies to ensure that products are compliant to all relevant standards and have all country certifications required for sale in the target markets
- Analyze product market conditions, identify challenges and propose mitigation plans to Management
- Act as escalation point for supplier related concerns
- Lead executive quarterly business reviews and product road maps with key vendors
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of progressive Product Sourcing, Supply Chain and Procurement experience, preferably in a high-tech manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of direct experience in Supplier Management and Contract Negotiation
- Proven track record in driving cost reduction
- Strong problem solving, analytical skills, process oriented and customer-focused
- Excellent business communication skills (oral and written); comfortable presenting to senior leadership

Job Summary
Reporting to the President/CEO, The Sourcing & Supply Chain Director is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the company's fresh produce procurement and supply chain operations. The Director will be instrumental in expanding the companys sourcing footprint, particularly with a focus on growing export volumes, improving vendor relations, and optimizing cost-effectiveness and supply continuity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives, with a focus on cost reduction, operational efficiency, scalability, and risk management.
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process in collaboration with sales and operations leadership, providing a clear and concise mid-term view of demand, inventory, and supply performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing and supply chain practices by using data-driven decision-making and scenario planning.
- Oversee demand forecasting by analyzing multiple inputs including sales pipeline, historical trends, backlogs, product lifecycle stages (launches/retirements), and promotions.
- Manage the integrated demand planning process with stakeholders from sales, marketing, operations, and project management to ensure accurate forecasts.
- Execute and manage the companys purchasing strategies, tracking key metrics to reduce costs and enhance performance.
- Lead procurement efforts including vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance management, and compliance.
- Perform cost analysis, scenario modeling, and market benchmarking to ensure competitive and value-driven procurement.
- Assist in developing procurement methodologies aimed at expanding volume acquisition from large-scale growers and commodity brokers.
- Promote and cultivate strong relationships with existing and prospective produce suppliers to enhance supply reliability and partnership value.
- Maintain and grow collaborative partnerships with major provider accounts, including domestic and international vendors.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for Business level analysis, summaries, and actions to teammates on a daily basis. This role will be looking at the entire supply chain from order to cash. With the intent to optimize inventory and logistics/distribution footprint in order to ultimately enhance the supply chain efficiency and impact overall profitability of the business.
Key Accountabilities

Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to meet organizational needs

Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data

Lead initiatives to implement changes aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall procurement processes

Develop, implement, and maintain Business Intelligence reports to provide insights into materials trends, vendor and manufacturing performance, and other key performance indicators

Work closely with management to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers

Utilize data analytics tools to analyze procurement data and generate actionable insights for decision-making

Maintain and update master data related to suppliers, materials, and pricing

Ensure accuracy and completeness of master data, supporting overall data integrity within procurement systems

Implement strategies to achieve cost reductions without compromising quality or service levels

Collaborate with finance and accounts payable teams to resolve any discrepancies and ensure timely payment processing

**JOB SUMMARY**
What you will do in this role:
+ Support all phases of supplier development & negotiation with practical working knowledge of commodity manufacturing processes.
+ Support complex supply chain optimization involving multiple technologies, suppliers, and manufacturing processes.
+ Perform supplier evaluations, development, qualification, and selection to meet commodity, production, and supply strategies.
+ Identify and communicate sourcing risks throughout the product cycle to mitigate supply risk.
+ Closely partner with leadership to identify potential new sources to support business objectives.
+ Work with sourcing, quality and suppliers to ensure appropriate specifications are developed for components and assemblies.
+ Learn and apply understanding of manufacturing technologies, knowing the advantages/disadvantages of various manufacturing methods for different commodity types, manufacturability, and relation to design specifications, traceability, and process control.
+ Understanding or aptitude to learn the product categories assigned and how end-users interface with the products
+ Track and manage improvements in procured component supply risk, quality, material cost, and lead time.
+ Manage and coordinate all sourcing project deliverables in support of supply improvements.
+ Ability to plan and execute project timelines for assigned categories, with guidance from manager.
+ With guidance and oversight from manager, individual must be able to use knowledge about supplier to execute strategies, create leverage, and mitigate risks.
+ Under supervision, the individual is responsible for the sourcing process for their assigned portfolio. Including market research, bid preparation, RFI/RFP, contract negotiations, and contract launch.
+ Oversee supplier relationship during the sourcing process. Lead supplier business reviews and review new products/technologies as they arise in assigned categories.
+ Own supplier related issues through to resolution and provide recommendations for replacement should resolution not be possible.
+ Collaborate with multiple functions across various time zones in a professional, well-organized and results-oriented manner.
+ Meet/exceed timeline, financial and operational goals in the annual plan.
What you will need for this role:
+ **Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.**

- Lead teams responsible for strategic sourcing, category management, contracting, and supplier relationship management, driving operational excellence and measurable outcomes.
- Identify and pursue revenue-generating opportunities and innovative supplier partnerships to further support Cleveland Clinic's mission.
- Operational Management + Oversee sourcing operations and contracting activities to ensure efficient, compliant processes that support clinical and operational goals.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to enable data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Owns enterprise saving goal, continually achieving and growing savings through effective execution.
- Serve as voting member of Excelerate GPO sourcing committee, and lead sourcing strategy for the GPO. Serving a significant quantity of other health systems, this requires interface with Vizient's sourcing and Excelerate leadership team, suppliers, and customers.
- Own and drive the e-procurement technology roadmap to advance digital sourcing capabilities.
- Partner with peers across Supply Chain to drive continuous improvement and lean projects, such as supply conversions, price discrepancy resolution, and process optimizations.
- Clinical and Stakeholder Engagement + Partner with clinical practice leaders and operational stakeholders to identify sourcing opportunities that enhance patient care, safety, and outcomes.
- Develop and build relationships with key enterprise stakeholders, maintaining their trust and ensuring they use sourcing services for all needs.
- Leads clinical engagement in the sourcing process, with medical director supervision, partnering with clinical committees and overseeing value analysis. Drive clinical adoption of formulary selection and monitor performance.
- Lead interface with executive teams on sourcing initiatives and approvals.
- Supplier Relationship Management + Develop and manage strategic supplier partnerships to drive innovation, quality improvement, and sustainability.
- Oversee supplier performance and accountability to Cleveland Clinic standards and contractual commitments.
- Work directly with strategic suppliers on long term strategies, setting win-win approaches that drive value.
- Foster supplier collaboration to co-develop innovations that enhance care delivery and identify shared revenue opportunities.
- Compliance and Risk Management + Ensure sourcing and contracting activities adhere to Cleveland Clinic policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Identify sourcing-related risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership + Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sourcing and contracting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- External Representation + Represent Cleveland Clinic at external conferences, industry forums, and supplier events as a thought leader in healthcare sourcing.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's degree in management, business, or other related field required. A minimum of 15 years of experience, which includes demonstrated operations/supply chain experience managing multiple sites and geographies. Offset: Master's degree and 10 years of experience. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, vision and direction with multi-site responsibilities. Strong communication and analytical skills are required. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing and contracting initiatives that deliver cost savings and enhance operational and clinical outcomes. Strong leadership skills with experience building and leading high-performing teams. Ability to influence and partner effectively with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders in a large, matrixed organization. Knowledge of healthcare supply markets, contracting practices, regulatory requirements, and supplier relationship management best practices.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Master's degree in related field. Healthcare experience preferred. Pharmacy degree may be preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
