**Position Summary:**
Manages all aspects of the transportation function in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, including selection of qualified drivers, routing, driving, safety, unloading, fleet maintenance, customer/driver relationships, and Department of Transportation (DOT) and Operating Company (OpCo) compliance. + Oversees day-to-day administration of delivery function including: managing, monitoring and approving department expenses, calculating driver payroll, reviewing driver trip and expense reports, and identifying and resolving problems. Operates a computer keyboard to enter and access data in automated fleet management system (e.g., Tripmaster and Xata); ensures truck computer system is monitored and maintained.
+ Prepares annual transportation operating budget; performs cost analyses (e.g., truck leases, fuel consumption, etc.) and coordinates financial reporting.
+ Works closely with Warehouse Manager to ensure the highest level of efficiency within the operation.
+ Responsible for scheduling truck deliveries and routing on a daily basis, including backhauls, and changes routes accordingly to meet customer needs and to maximize route profitability. Responsible for equipment scheduling and maintenance. Analyzes equipment needs (trucks, tractors, trailers) and determines type and number required. Sets up rental of additional vehicles as required and schedules equipment maintenance as necessary.\
+ Responsible for DOT compliance, monitoring DOT logs and ensuring drivers comply with DOT regulations. Responsible for compliance with safety policies and procedures.

**SUMMARY**

**POSITION SUMMARY**
This is an Operations position responsible for managing the activities associated with Delivery. + Hire, train, schedule, and supervise a team of up to 60 seasonal and year-round drivers. Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment with a focus on retention and employee engagement.
+ Ensure all operations meet or exceed local, state, and federal transportation regulations (e.g., DOT, CHP, OSHA). Maintain accurate and timely documentation for licensing, vehicle inspections, incident reporting, and driver qualifications.
+ Collaborate with Vehicle Maintenance to ensure timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and vehicle availability. Monitor fuel usage, cleanliness, and vehicle performance standards.
+ Drive a culture of high-quality guest service. Resolve escalated service issues promptly and professionally. Support service recovery and implement process improvements based on guest feedback.
+ Develop and manage department budgets, including labor and fuel costs. Contribute to strategic planning, capital requests, and seasonal ramp-up/down operations.

**Job Requirements:**
+ 5+ years of transportation/logistics experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory or management role (resort, hospitality, or municipal transit preferred).
+ Strong understanding of DOT/DISA regulations and driver compliance requirements.
+ Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
+ CDL with passenger endorsement (preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
+ Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak periods.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Closely monitor driver performance via the use of available technology and other control features

+ Closely monitor equipment to ensure safe operation and minimize breakdown

**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Frequent standing and bending is required when checking equipment
