Seasonal Videographer

West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill a Seasonal Videographer position. The Seasonal Videographer provides production support during the busy fall event and sports season (September 1st – November 15th). The position assists with video production assignments such as live broadcast of high school sports, recording of public meetings, and highlighting community events. The role is part of the Public Information and Engagement team, supporting Township marketing efforts and performing some clerical functions such as preparing reports and maintaining records. This position reports to the Director of Public Information & Engagement and will be part of a team that handles public broadcast, recording, media production, and digital content creation.  

The position will be primarily in the field, potentially in inclement weather conditions, with evening and weekend work required. Some office work may be required. This position is required to be available most Thursday evenings, Friday evenings, and occasional Saturdays.

This position is seasonal and will require 15-25 hours of work per week. The pay range is $16.00 - $20.00 per hour.

You must have visual creative services experience in both working as a professional videographer and photographer. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, working with content writers, content producers, and cross-functional teams on story assignments. You will handle video and photography request for our Big Rocks, product groups and our SIM creative request.
The Senior Creative Videographer will own the video and photography production assignments for SPC creative and content group. The candidate will partner with product teams, content, research and other key stakeholders to ensure a unified video and photography experience and consistency in our visual framework. This person will influence video and photography decisions, partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholder groups, and implement a world-class video and photography process.
Key job responsibilities
* Developing High-Definition and Lofi Video production content
* Creating Photography for SPC teams and SIMs received from SPS teams
* Production-grade editing of video and photography work and partnering with editors on the final visuals (production edits)
* Ordering, Transporting, Maintaining, Logging and Troubleshooting all Video/Photography equipment
* Reviewing all SPC video/photography assets to ensure guidelines and high standards and logging into our new DAM system
* Managing/owning updates for SPC Video Production/Photography calendars
* Collaborating with writers, producers, editors to better understand content assignments and key drivers that inform content and creative decisions
* Own delivering on complex video and photography projects on tight deadlines.
* Evangelize video and photography standards that reflect the voice of SPC and our selling partners.
* Follow Amazon and SPC video production and photography guidelines
* Meet assigned video production and photography goals provided by leadership
* Use a combination of data analysis, end-user research, and content audits to make key video and photography decisions that are based on key learnings, performance data, stakeholder request, org goals/initiatives
* Collaborate with content and creative stakeholders on video and photography best practices and share on-going learnings to continue improving our quality standards/bar raising of content.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Photography, or Creative Services
- 5+ years of experience working in content development, marketing or video/photography roles
- Strong understanding of video production and photography processes; from ideation through implementation
- Strong Attention to detail/ working with Content Writers/Producers
- Understanding of content writing best practices for online and offline channels
- Experience presenting to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to drive results, recommendations, and evaluate outcomes
- Ability to work under tight timelines with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of videography and photography experience working with global brands and/or ad agencies
- Knowledge of working with content strategy and creative guidelines
- Proven ability to influence and obtain buy-in for video and photography ideas
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
