Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.

  • Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers. Ensure all scanning is completed correctly. Help train dock employees on new procedures. Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping. Perform picking and packing duties. Check for evidence of product or container damage

  • Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location's policies and procedures standards to include handling of materials within associated logical transactions

Job Purpose

Responsibilities :

  • Pulling parts inventory for orders.
  • Packaging parts inventory to be shipped to the customer.
  • Unloading merchandise being received from loading docks to stock and place into warehouse inventory.
  • Move materials through facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, reach truck, order picker).
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Complete routine paperwork to properly document work performed.
  • Use computers and scan guns to dispense and receive basic information that includes product codes, part numbers, quantities, locations, etc.
  • Conduct periodic inventory cycle counts.
  • Parts and pick ticket quality inspections.
  • Other duties as assigned; job duties subject to change without notice.
  • Follow all safety policies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will be considered.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in the English language.
  • Proven record of good attendance, safety record and productivity.
  • Two (2) years' experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer skills preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to move parts and material up to 50lbs. in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and lift throughout the day, manually unloading and loading merchandise.
  • Ability to work at heights (up to 22 ft high on cherry picker)
  • Ability to bend and stoop repetitively.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures
  • Ability to go up and down mobile stairs on a consistent basis all day

What you'll do:

  • Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials in warehouse and yard
  • Work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
  • Verify order contents and maintain documentation (pick tickets, inventory count sheets)
  • Inspect, organize, maintain, and track inventory
  • Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE
  • Preserve safe and clean work environment which includes cleaning and painting
What you'll bring:
  • Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment; warehouse experience preferred
  • Commitment to providing an outstanding experience to customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective verbal and written communication and a customer-first mindset
  • Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus
  • Reliable transportation to work and the ability to regularly work early morning hours
