Here you will work on core product development for AI/ML enabled security solutions and complex systems, including but not limited to optical pan/tilt cameras, batteries, solar power, edge computing, IO, microcontrollers, sensors and payloads. The role requires high ownership and frequent collaboration with other core disciplines. The ideal candidate would be practical, hands-on and a self starter. High growth potential is possible as well as additional leadership opportunities.

• Rapid, full cycle PCB design including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug and integration with the system.
• Identify partners in industry to engage with, and manage early vendor relationships
• Development of commercial security electrical systems (edge compute, IO, microprocessors, cameras, sensors, payload interfaces, power management, and networking)
• Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within the unit.
• Provide support and collaborate within system development constraints
• Vendor management, including surveys and evaluation to support sourcing for compute and electronic system components.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
• Ensure that designs meet regulatory requirements (FCC Part-15, UL, IEC, etc.)

• Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
• Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, MIPI-CSI, etc.
• Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, GPU devices and technologies.
• Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
