Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fabrication professional for a 6-month contract role in Broken Arrow. This position involves setting up and operating conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. The Fabrication role requires mechanical aptitude, blueprint interpretation, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials.
- Select, align, and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines.
- Calculate and set machining controls (speed, feed, coolant flow, etc.) or enter commands into computerized machine controls .
- Operate machines and adjust settings to correct malfunctions or tolerance issues .
- Perform layout work and plan sequence of operations .
- Cut, bend, hammer, grind, preheat, and weld metal as required.
- Assemble, weld, and verify conformance of parts to specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products .
- Conduct trial runs to verify machine accuracy.
- Work with engineers, programmers, and production staff to resolve machining and assembly problems .
- Exhibit professional and courteous behavior while interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Maintain control and security of export-controlled documents, equipment, and business information .
- Adhere to all safety, attendance, and work schedule policies .
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CNC programming .
- Familiarity with fabrication equipment (drill press, brake, cutoff saws, water jet, press brake).
- Proficient in using precision measuring equipment .
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong math skills, including geometry, trigonometry, ratios, and percentages .
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, and diagram instructions .
Physical Requirements

Principal Accountabilities
- Primary function Program and operate Tipper Tie with correct specs for products being produced
- Troubleshoot equipment problems
- Will do machine set-up, tear down, and style changes
- Responsible for some paperwork and other miscellaneous duties
- Maintain line efficiencies and line speed for employees assigned to that line
- Must be able to rotate within the departments and other departments
- Work on the line as needed

- Be able to fix small breakdowns
Required Qualifications
